Meh, mediocre game, there are better rtyhmn games out there, and I hate how FNF has like no settings(for example I have to use the fucking arrow keys to play it with no option to change the controls, and every note feels off to me but there's nothing I can do about that since I can't change my offset)
its fun but hard. mainly because a) im bad at rhythm games (doesn't mean i hate them) and b) the arrows sometimes blend into the background and I can't exactly see them in time.
but yeah gud geam
I know you can use those, but with most 4 key rythmn games I use as,kl and I'm not willing to relearn my muscle memory just for one game I don't even like that much
I love Friday Night Funkin but not really for the gameplay, the programming for the DDR stuff is kinda weird and doesn't feel as satisfying as other rhythm games, but Dave's artstyle is so stylized and cool and the music is super catchy. I enjoy it mostly for the novelty of it being a game borne purely from a couple dudes' passions to want to make something cool. There are tons of DDR clones but I think Friday Night Funkin has the most love put into it
I love FNF for what it stands for: an ongoing celebration of Newgrounds culture that unites indie animators and musicians into one heck of a crossover, with gameplay part being more of a wrapping for all the lore and cool music. While it's janky by rhythm game standards, it's a fun once-in-a-lifetime event to be a part of, and a time capsule in the making.
I think it's okay. The art style is fun, the music's not personally my thing, and the timing windows are a bit weird for me, but overall I'd give the game a 6/10 IGN not bad. I've also played a ton of StepMania for years so I'm sure that's why it felt a little off.
Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
