If you like any of these, you are technically BY DEFINITION part furry:

Looney Toons
The animal version of Robin Hood
Mickey Mouse
Aggretsuko
Animal Crossing

I looked up the definition of a furry... why does the internet do such a terrible job of portraying them? Fun fact: You can be a furry and hate fursuits. Hate sex. Hate the w e i r d stuff that the internet made into stereotypes for furries.

Another fun fact: Furries don’t go and fuck animals. Those are zoophiles. Not only is that illegal, but furries also despise zoophiles.

Furries are very chill. It’s just the... excited ones that make the community look bad and make us misunderstood.
And the furries who bash people for not being furries... I mean they’re just kinda stupid- bleh

Comparing it to the gay community
Most furries are like the ordinary gays who quietly have a happy life in a gay relationship.
Those ‘excited’ furries are like the gays who do not shut the fuck up about their sexuality and treat it like their only personality trait-

I’m clearly a furry
Imagine if you lived with me. I wouldn’t just throw on a fursuit and try to suck your dick.
I’d just ask for headpats! Cats and non-furries do that too!
As well as other furries. Just try to understand us better-
Not by just looking up the definition of a furry (because it’s stupid on google and whatnot)
But by just... looking a lil deeper.
When you see a furry, put the pitchforks away and try to be civil and kind to them!
If they start getting horny- well then you can go get the torches

There is a difference between a furry and someone who enjoys certain anthro designs.
A furry actively participates in the furry community (art, suits, ect.) Or otherwise is just like "yeah I'm a furry."
By the logic of "all who like one anthro design are furries" all women who like wearing pants are tomboys, all people who play the occasional game of tetris on their phone are gamers, and all men who have ever looked at a dress and thought "hey that's pretty" are crossdressers.
By all means, you are free to be a furry, it isn't any of my business, but not all people who have liked designs that you deem "furry" are furries.
Also if a random person asks me for headpats I can and will run. Far away. As fast as possible.

(any before anyone says anything. my pfp is a kemonomimi, not a furry.)

there are those who are one but Disassociate With the Community as a whole, be it for one reason or another in the end its more a label to what you place on yourself, but the worst thing you can do which it could be seen by the OP (if this is not the intent then pay no mind,) is to push it down other's throats. That's when you cross a line

@Dracari this was moreso an attempt to make some of the users better understand the situation-
And to hopefully get them to be less against furries. I do wish I could change the title, because it does seem quite... well, like what you said-
It bothers me when people shove their... beliefs? (Practices maybe? What do you call this?) Down others throats.
But yea
This was just an attempt to reduce the amount of people who get defensive when I say UwU in a thread by helping them understand that when a furry comes over to their house, they don’t have to be afraid their dog is gonna get raped.



@TsundereKitsune you don’t have to actively be a part of the gay community to be gay. A gay person could do gay straight art only-

It would be more like all men who wear dresses are crossdressers. People who actively play Tetris on their phone are gamers.

If you draw a cat person once, that doesn’t make you a 100% furry.

This blog wasn’t to tell you you are absolutely a furry and if you deny it something is wrong with you. I messed up with the title, really.
It was just targeted at furry-phobics who actively shoved it down our throats that furries shouldn’t deserve to live at all-

@Mama Looigi w/ that clear then yea, as there are those that associate as one be it within in the community or not that go "welp you like X Y or Z character YOU MUST BE A FURRY! CONVERT OR DIE" and that .. kinda sets a bad rap for the rest of us that are normal , laid back or just plain chill. (i dont want to even touch on the brony community as thats a real loaded can of worms that go well outside the scope of your blog here ^^;; ) (mainly the kind that have a mentality that if you liek anything remotely tied to that universe, you must become a brony @_@ "ohh you like say spyro, so you like dragons, and if you like dragons you like Spike, and therefore you must be a brony!" and you cant change thier mind when they get it set in stone.)

as far as I'm aware, I'm pretty sure the brony community has been dying down for the past decade or so, I haven't heard any major events from them in a while, I gues they are all starting to convert to furries, I personally don't mind thoug ^-^
