Html and iframe rendering

Soo...
You have that nice idea of "just embeding a webpage via iframe" into your existing page ?

Maybe like this ?
Code:
 <iframe src="https://www.webpage.xyzy" width="400" height="400"></iframe>

Too bad that the practice of inlaying a webpage seems not to be only frowned upon, but sometimes impossible
(F.ex. vgmdb, soundcloud, bankingsites etc.)

All in all iframe inline rendering can be useful for certain usecases, but make sure the site you render is okay with it,
or ideally... is yours.

If you want an element to stick to a page corner, just use sticky-js.

Have fun using it anyway (atleast most of the time): https://github.com/niutech/x-frame-bypass

There are multiple ways working around the iframe limitation because sometimes/for some projects its actually really needed. But that its frowned upon is atleast since 10 years the case.

and for sticking something to a corner, instead of using javascript, you should learn css and do it that way. no need to let the browser download and execute more JS than needed if all it does is setting the same CSS properies.

Hey :-D
That's pretty cool.

Some parts of my page(s) already use some css, so that's a good idea too.

I tried the xframe bypass with my page
Code:
<body style="margin: 0 auto;">
         <script type="module" src="https://unpkg.com/x-frame-bypass"></script>
         <iframe is="x-frame-bypass" src="https://ry3yr.github.io/OSTR/Diarykeepers_Homepage/Startseite.html" frameborder="0"
         style="overflow:hidden;
         display:block; position: absolute; height: 100%; width: 100%"></iframe>
<p style="">
         Your browser does not support iframes.
</p>
And while it loads flawlessly, there is one issue:
Using the hamburger menu on there reloads the script (Normal iframe-inbinding works with it). Odd.

Pretty cool still.
Just two lines 😊

Please make sure that most (if not all) visual things you do on your site are only done via CSS. JS can be handy and its easy to do things this way but it really clogs up performance, not to mention load times on devices with bad internet.

If you dont know enough CSS to come up with solutions, there are frameworks you can learn, like bootstrap. It may look complicated at first but its really not. And the results always look good, although some might say that bootstrap is used by a lot of sites and thus is nothing special anymore. You can easily change anything you like about bootstrap and make it your own.

Also, if you are a heavy JS user, please dont use JQuerry. Jquery is a huge library and the things you want from it can usually be done in better, more performant ways. If you want to be really efficient and fast in developmeent, learn a javascript framework like VueJS or React. they will make your life a billion times more easy

Okay. Makes sense, as CSS is really resource friendly.
I just implemented a tiled background image via CSS.

Saves alot of work. Really nifty 🙃

Bootstrap looks cool. I'll remember it for future reference.

I'm not really a heavy js user.
(I borrowed an audioplayer from some guy on github, until there is a better - lowbudget alternative, thats about it regarding js)
Haven't heard of JQuerry yet. But I'll make sure to avoid it and use the alternatives.

Thanks for the tips :-)
Good to know some capable Webdesign folk are around here.

yeah as slluxx said, try not to use js, even if its to make your website cool or whatever it really slows it down, also some people just don't want to or can't use js meaning that the website wouldn't load properly. For example I usually use m kindle basic to browse the web (like right now) and have to have js disabled because if not it sooner or later ends up crashing the entire device, forcing me to reboot it.

Anyway, good luck :)

Very true.
I've visited websites that load suuuper slow.
Some people must toss whatever on there and call it a day.
What are folk with slow internet supposed to do then 😭 .
Like show some concern, or I'll not visit your site 😂
