How do I counter a PSP Fanboy?

The truth of the matter is, they both cater to very different audiences and making a broad statement like x is better than y will always be wrong. Opinion can't be fact after all. Sure DS has weaker hardware yet it has bigger potential with its touchscreen. One which nintendo undoubtedly hasn't taken advantage of to its full extent (some exceptions apply). Yet the PSP is as da_head said a "watered down ps2". This is a huge achievement for a portable system and not at all a bad thing.

Just accept that people like other things than you and there will always be idiots who can't accept that. As for noobs who attack your system? Do an ad hominem and watch their arguments slowly crumble as they become confused at your nonsensical approach to the discussion.

I'm not a "DS Fanboy". I just like the DS. I'm not addicted to it. I'm not a "Nintendo Fanboy" either. Without Sony, Kingdom Hearts wouldn't have existed. A Kingdom Hearts Fanboy on the other hand....

Bratz and Imagine series are a bunch of shit created by some losers, gotta admit that fact, and that correlates very well with the point "DS got bad games"

Because saying "I got some money" doesn't mean "I got all the money in the world", think a bit more before saying stuff like that

imo with what a hacked psp can offer compared to a ds with flascart offers. the psp wins hands down. though each to their respective libraries? and no emulation included? (popstation) ds would win hands down. while psp has some real gems, they are limited but more. DS has doesnt have as many but it has a pretty high amount of decent but not excellent games. which is what the psp lacks. PSP's game library has quite a few gems amongst the metric tonne of shit. DS's library is like a pile of stones with a few gems, surrounded by shit.

And DS is more for innovation, having an extremely diversed library. While PSP is more for power, and has more niched "hardcore" games. And also, DS has the Nintendo classics. Mario and Pokemanz ftw.

Still, try to ignore them first.

Buy a netbook for the amount of money they spent on a PSP and go, "Ooohhh... Look at me, I'm getting -actual work- done."

Or

Punch them.

Or

Buy an FC Mobile II, and tell them that hacking and emulation is over rated as you play the actual cart of Mario 3, cursing that there's no save states.

Or

Punch them again.

Or

Play your favorite handheld in peace without having to justify why it's fun to other people.

Or

Start taking about Final Fantasy 7. Trust me, they'll be busy debating it for weeks.

True, but the whole sentence is kind of off. DS has got some bad games, sure, but "DS has bad games" doesn't really leave any room for a possibility of good ones. And PSP has bad games too. Imagine and Bratz aren't the only bad games out there.

Load up Kingdom Hearts 358/2 on your flashcart and say "Where's your Kingdom Hearts, bitch?"

Otherwise, since they're fanboys, they won't care about the good Nintendo games on the DS. And the DS is outclassed hardware wise in every aspect.

Except for the touch screen analogue (touch screen, not the lower screen) which the PSP can't beat.

@Heran Bago: It's about telling the DS is as good as the PSP since here in the Philippines, there are a lot of PSP fanboys. Especially me and KingdomBlade's generation. Always playing Monster Hunter G. Like I did .

Sure, everyone can have their opinion, but there are things such as irrational opinions.

Now if anyone thinks the PSPs game library is better than the DSs... I don't know what to tell you.

Based on what they sound like tell them that if the PSP is so much better that the DS then why does the DS have a whole shitload more sales than the psp and a whole lot more games than the psp is it because companies and developers see the ds as better hmmmm.....
