I am supposed to be at school right now...

I am not at school right now, because on my way to school I hit a school bus. This deserves a super special blog.

I was in my car going north, and a bus from oncoming traffic turns across my lane. The bus suddenly stops in mid turn, due to lack of space. The road was wet, and very slick. I jam my brakes into: "Grind to a fucking halt" mode, and tried to swerve out of the way. I bashed into the back corner of the bus, and my car is now totaled. I am not injured, not in shock, and though I wasn't completely composed, I was not a pussy. I was extremely lucky to have hit an empty school bus, and no one was hurt. The good thing is I might get a second first car out of this, because it was not my fault, and the school district's insurance will replace my vehicle.

Cheers to the hope my insurance premiums won't go up. :grog:

It reminds me of the time when I was on a bus to college (This is a mini bus and it was packed with people so much you wouldn't even know if someone robbed you) and the bus hit a car and everyone on the bus just fell down like a pack of dominoes.

XD No one was hurt, and nobody was on it at the time, even though it was during school pickup time.

Wow, thart must have been scary shit. Not sure how I would've reacted.

But now when people make Chuck Norris jokes, you can say that you took on a school bus... AND LIVED.

Thats a good story. Its too bad you wrecked, but its awesome that you are ok. I would miss you on the temp.

A bit late, but you can either brake or turn, not both. Each of those actions requires 100% of the car's traction in slippery conditions.

I learned that from Gran Turismo.

If I hadn't swerved, I would've T-boned the bus, and the accident would have been much worse.
