I paid the price of 2GB RAM but I got 1GB. WTF!!

So, a few years ago, I wanted my sis's laptop to go faster since it has a 512MB RAM. I bought 1GB but strangely, I saw a 512MB RAM. They replaced it. They said they like to swap the new one with the old one when they are repairing computers.

2 years has passed and I wanted to upgrade my mom's laptop to be ready with 64bit Windows 7 (See my F80L 965 topic). I am happily buying it again from them and my mom is an ass as she's talking about election to the owner. FUCK, that was a pain specially if they're busy with our laptop.

What do I get in return? We paid the price of Php 2450 for a 2GB but I saw 1GB only. I blame my mom for this.

Next time, if you're buying memory cards, check the actual RAM and not on the computer screen.

I'll be returning to their shop today and hopefully they're open as it's Sunday. I will also teach my mom some lessons to not talk while in the process of buying. She can talk after we confirmed everything is fine.

The shop is PC Cartel and they have 2 shops in my city.

I now have 3GB of RAM but I want to have 4GB for 64bit next week

I suggest a good old fashioned bitch slap talk with your mother. I'm sure she'll listen.

IM not that harsh to abuse my mom. Im a negociating person so a good old talking will do the job. Reminds me of Xander from Power Rangers Mystic Force....hahaha....from episode 1.

Thanks for reminding me

The laptop's avail RAM will always be smaller than the one installed because the Graphics Card uses some of it as its memory :teach: .
(You can change how much in the BIOS)

I didn't think of that, I guess I never buy laptops with shared memory  .

you should probably change that, 1GiB being assigned to the graphics co-processor is rather insane.

It's a blog, you can write whatever you want here.

Just a warning if you are find of buying RAM. always chech the actual RAM and not the sticker at the package.

I'll be going to their shop and have a nice long talk with the manager. He's nice.
