Its oh so tempting

One of my cleaners came into my office today telling me that one of the guests had left their belongings in the room and there was a white powder on the table as well.

So as part of the hotel policy and went in the room with him with gloves on (in case of dodgy dealings so I get no finger prints on anything), opened the bag up and fount the following.

McCoys BBQ Crisps...mmm.
Coconut oil...two guys were in that room and there was only one bed...no Cat Boy I don't have any video footage of their stay.
Some sort of electric weighing machine covered in white powder.
Lots of peddle bin bags.
20 bags with 30 pills in each...fuck.
£34,000 in £20 notes, real cash....mother fucker.
£5,000 in £5 notes, fake.
£429 in pound coins, fake.

Holy fuck right? BBQ crisps FTW! I was so tempted to just grab that bag...oh and the money and perhaps the drugs but didn't as you know I'm nice or something and I also didn't want the possibility of being cut up by some drug peddlers.

Anyway had to disable the door so the people couldn't get back in and phoned the police. Police said it wasn't important enough crime so will be there in an hour or so...so these guys have a substantial amount of drugs, flick knives and could be a risk to my staff and its no biggy to them...fuck sake.

Sent the cleaners home, we weren't fully booked so we didn't need the rooms. They can do them tomorrow to make up their hours.

Some guy came up to me at reception, said he wanted to extend his and his "mates" stay, turned out it was those guys in the room...think fast Mr Mosely...pretended that my system was down, guest wanted to go to their room but their card was broken so lied again and said I've got maintenance working on it and they could come back in an hour and it'll all be sorted. They sodded off and stood outside of the hotel so I had to ring the police up and told them to use the back entrance (no Cat Boy not that one) and use a unmarked car.

Police finally turned up...but so did one of the dealers, they clocked the police and ran! So I'm looking on my cameras at these dozy fat police officers chasing this pikey shit and the pikey trips over something...Mary's fucking rubbish. I am always telling that dozy bitch to not put that in the hallway to put it somewhere where no one can trip over it, turns out that is what saved the day as the coppers grabbed him and marched him out.

Can't use the room, police are dusting it tomorrow and I also have to get my cleaners to drop by the police station so they can have their finger prints taken as there is still one guy at large.

It was meant to be an easy day.

After reading 'white powder', my fingers suddenly started smelling like marijuana. Don't ask me why or how I even know what that smells like, cos I haven't got a clue.

I seem to recall you said you moved out of Southend but you are probably in the same jurisdiction but I am not surprised.

Hope your cleaners do not have too hard a time- that fingerprint powder can stain like a bastard if you do not get it off in the first day or so (especially plastics and wood).

@TrolleyDave do they really send the mickey mouse filth to this kind of potential bust/photo op around you?

Back on topic fake notes I can understand as it is a good short change con (although in dodgy dealings personally I like to keep cash and merchandise apart when it is possible) sometimes- lying to a junkie about money can be like lying to a seven year old about sweets though.
Fake coins though..... not seen them in a while. Were they good ones or barely enough to rip off a vending machine?

I guess as TrolleyDave said though they were amateurs, somewhat surprising given how close you are to London (I am further away and all the local toe rags have been taken out (sadly not all of them in the Darwinian sense) by such people).
No just these two fat guys.

I get the impression that they were working for someone, they're fucking dead if they are! Can't imagine anyone letting that lot get into the hands of the pigs and not be miffed. Shit most people would put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on their door so that no cleaners go in, they'd been there since Wednesday.
Yeah heads will definitely roll for that! I reckon the customer got the goods though, by the sounds of it they'd just come back from dropping off. And yep, most would have put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on. They were probably stupid enough to be tapping into the supply, and when you add that on top of stupidity then natural selection takes place and you get your collar felt! lol
Definitely not Southern, I'm a Manc and I got what you were saying ?

I use the word all the time
Mancs rule, I'm an Oldham boy originally! Although my folks moved away when I was like 2.

It's hard to believe but yep! Around the here the specials get used for pretty much everything. I think it's just cos it's the countryside so they like to skimp on the outgoings as much as possible.

Damn, I don't know what I would have done if I saw that money. Probably would have taken a couple of grand, thinking they wouldn't notice it....
Can you get in trouble if you do that? (next to drug dealers cutting you up?)

Well one that fount it has been inside when he was younger so his prints are already on the system according to him so he should be cleared of anything. The other who did the room the day before is on holiday for a week so hopefully they'll catch who the other guy was, our cameras should be good enough proof.

Aside from the original owners hurting you I guess no one else would find out but to be honest I just wouldn't want to profit on something like that. I just feel funny about that. If anything I'd give it to charity, something good out of something bad I guess.

Then make a press release stating that Oxfam accept drug money.

Oh, you found my, um, "meds". You can just send them through the mail. Scratch that, actually I'll pick them up myself.

You forgot the part where the VALIANT HADRIAN MOSLEY fought all the armed dealers in hand-to-hand combat and defeated them all... then ate the chips as a sign of victory.

EDIT: Typo made me sound like a pirate :|

I actually really enjoyed your blog Hadrian!!

But the white powder on the weight thing could the the thing my dad uses in his bowling ball. it gives your hands grip.

But the pills, yeah. drugs.

You did the right thing, Broseph.

I had no idea you worked at a hotel though. :ha:

I got a phone call at 11 last night from my night receptionist, the police wanted to take the evidence so I just told her to let them get it. Made a complaint about the officers, apparently they shouldn't have left evidence there at all and should have took it before they left.

I had police in again today, this times ones who seemed capable of solving crimes...quite a sexy pair of chicks too, none uniform can't quite remember if they were CID or whatever too busy lezzing them up in my mind to pay attention.

They took statements from the cleaners who've had contact with the room but I had to spend over 3 hours going through CCTV and also giving my own statement so that put me way a head in my work. Said I'll go to court if they needed me and I also may be required to attend a police line up to point out the other guy who didn't get nabbed.
