My dad sucks at electronics :D

My dad has seriously no knowledge of electronics. Even though he is supposed to be an engineer (he even has an certificate) I am still the one who is doing the stuff with electronics. This is kinda annoying and funny, every now and then he comes to talk to me begging for help just cause he pressed some wrong button and I need to do that. There is just no way of explaining stuff to him.

Other news : I managed to do the two speeches I've been talking about. Neither went well. My friend was too fuckin lazy to write some dialogue for us for the English speech. Atleast we passed that, but teacher said that she could and should not let us pass it. So the day went on and then I'm supposed to do the commercial speech. I dont even have time to react when the teacher already decided "Well, I think there isnt enough time for this, so I'm just going to give you the worst grade." C'mon, what the hell? I cant say a word?! I tried telling her that I could have done it right now but no.

Two weeks of school left. Next week we're going to an amusement park with our class, and we got a football and floorball tournament, and Im participating in both of those, especially floorball since Im kinda good at it, and we got only 9th graders against us.

That's all for now, cya later!

I feel your pain :wtf:
My dad wakes me up at 2 am because he's drunk, he's on the computer and he can't figure out why double clicking the drop down menu in youtube keeps taking him somewhere else. I explained 5 times that he only needs to click it once and that double clicking it is making him click the banner ad under the drop down. And then at 3 am he's waking me up again because now there's no sound-look, the speakers are unplugged-and he can't figure out why the skype video calling isn't working-look the webcam isn't plugged in and anyway NO ONE IS ON GO TO BED >__<

You need to understand the difference in time between you and your dad; he was good with electronics in his time, has the certification in his time... My dad is the same way. He was an apple certified engineer yet I know leaps and bounds over him with todays tech. Ask me about Fortran though, wouldn't have a damned clue how to program it.

God, I hate Fortran! I remember looking at it in a old book, man I'm glad I don't need to learn it!

He has been working with electronics over 40 years and I'm still better than him.. Guess its just the modern technology which is designed for mostly children or something..
