God, I'm tired!
So if you remember
(or care enough to read my blogs)
I had orientation at my college today.
It was fun as hell!
So here's how the two days went.
(since we stayed the nite)
6am - Wake up, get ready to go.
6:30 - Leave the house
9ish - Get to the University
9:15 till 10 - Check in, drop off stuff in room, no roommate to be found.
10 till like 12 - Find groups, do icebreaker activities, walk around campus.
12 till 1:30? - Eat
1:30 till 3 - Meet advisers, talk about classes.
3 till 5? - Did more activities.
5 till 7 - Eat
7 till 10 - Do wutever we want. I played pool with a few people.
Get to my dorm around 10:15,
turn on lites,
roommate's asleep.
turn off lites.
Feel awkward.
Go take a shower.
Come back.
Lay down.
Start texting people.
Do you have any idea how loud of a noise it makes when you're trying to be absolutely quiet?
I can't fall asleep at 10:15 anyway, so I go to the 3rd floor lounge area.
Locking the doors to the rooms makes an insanely loud noise too.
It's awkward.
So I'm kinda feeling weird cuz I'm the only one there, and people pass by every now and then.
So at 11, just before 11 maybe, a group of like 15 people come into the lounge.
They invite me to sit in their circle.
So from 11-12 we sit and talk about stuff.
I don't know any of these people, but it's fun.
At maybe 12 the RA comes by.
We invite him to stay with us.
So he does.
So we keep doin nothing in the lounge.
By now it's 1am.
There are 10 of us now.
1:30 we decide to order a pizza.
It gets to the dorm by 2.
It's some good pizza!
At maybe 2:30 one more guy leaves.
The term for the nite becomes "Fuckin Jew!"
Just start yelling that at each other.
It was fun.
Kyle (the RA) talks about how he has a picture of the twin towers in his room being attacked by Jews on jetpacks shooting them with lasers.
So it's about 4am.
We decide to go outside.
Kyle leaves.
We call him a fuckin Jew.
Go outside.
There are 8 of us now.
3 of us don't do drugs.
4 talk about how to roll a joint.
1 just kinda listens.
We sit on the sidewalk looking at the sky getting brighter.
Go back in at about 5.
Few people go take a shower.
We meet back in the lounge.
Start looking through class listings.
It's 6.
I reach the 24 hour mark.
It was quite exciting.
The rest of the day suuuuuuuuuuucked.
I was outrageously tired!
We had to sit through a few lectures about safety and stuff that I let my dad pay attention to.
I had to go to the bathroom every 30 mins because of coffee.
I love coffee, but my bladder doesn't.
But it was fun as hell staying up with a group of people I don't know.
30 hours before I shut my eyes.
First time I ever did that.
I feel accomplished.
We decided that we'd meet up on the day that we all move in.
College will be fun as hell.
