Win a SCDSTWO, a PS3BREAK or $35

Hi all,

I've been a lurker for a while but then I received my Supercard DSTWO a while ago and I enjoyed it a great deal.
so I've been trying to start this Supercard DSTWO fansite to regroup information for n00bs.
I started writing tutorials but this is taking ages.

So I asked the owner of this site (gbatemp) if I could get some help from ShopTemp, and GBATemp.
He said I could include the review on the website as long as I quote the source and link to GBAtemp, so I did that.
The author of the review (Another World) was also contacted and he agreed to it because he says it benefits Shoptemp.
(Yeah i know what you're gonna say, copypasting is cheap, but you know what the temp review is the best so I couldn't come up with anything better.)

On top of that, ShopTemp have accepted to sponsor my competition, as long as I dont use an affiliate account, lol.
Basically this is a tutorial competition, whoever writes the best tutorial wins.
The point of this is to come up with the best resource website for n00bs and become the central place to get news about the SCDSTWO.

You might aswell post your tutorials on GBAtemp, ya know?
anyhow, it's GBAtemp not GBATemp :D
good luck everyone for the competition.

Any official word on this, Costello?
uhm, what can I say? word?
Shoptemp have been quite generous lately giving stuff away, even at DSdatabase.org which is direct competition :P

I'm a little confused. You're supposed to write a tutorial for the DSTWO?
Aren't the people who write the best tutorials for the DSTWO people who already have one?

Just something that came up in my mind :P
Good luck with the Compo though.

tj_cool thats the point, if you already have a SCDSTWO you will probably want something else, ie the PS3jailbreak or the $35 coupon.
_Chaz_ read the article to find out :) theres loads to say about the SCDSTWO. Stuff that the average joe doesnt know.

thanks costello! -noted, GBAtemp!
and well im a returning customer so shoptemp better be generous :)

ps: why does it say that I have 0 posts? i alreadyposted twice

First, you flip the switch.

Next, depending on your type of toilet, you may have to wait through some brief flickering.

Then, the room brightens and you can freely move about without fear of bumping into things.

Thank you, toilet. :mthr:

I was asking if this was legit
I wouldn't trust 1 post members who suddenly starts contests :P

I think I'll pass on this contest.
I don't even have a DSTWO

There's a crucial flaw here that you can only really write a SCDS2 tutorial to the full extent if you actually have one yourself, which defeats the point of offering one... I would love to enter but I don't have a DSTwo myself.

ah, makes sense. Cheers Rydian! not like i care anyway.
0ddity thats cool, if you're willing to enter you'd better email me like it says on the article because at the end of the day i'll be checking that mailbox for entries.
anyhow I think thats a good tutorial, I'm sure if someone made tutorials for MSN or AIM on the DS that would be pure win!

dude like i said above you can win a PS3 jailbreak or a $35 coupon :)
besides you could be posting tutorials like 0ddity about popular homebrew that run on the scdstwo. :)

I could reformat it and add instructions on other protocols, what would be the best format for submission, in a thread like it is, or word doc, etc?

So... in order to win an item, you must already own said item?

I own a DS2 and therefore do not need to enter, although I meet the requirements to do so.

Starting Up

By now, i assume you have the DSTwo. If not, go to www.shoptemp.com and order it. NAO!
Anyway, head over to the Supercard website and click the Supercard DsTwo link on the right hand side.
Read the Faq, whatever you want, then head over to downloads, and download the newest EOS. Unzip it and copy the _dstwo folder and the _dstwoplug folder to your MicroSD. Then copy your downl.....i mean dumped roms/homebrew/everything else onto the card and your set!

Adding Plugins

Once you select the dstwo, a dsi-menu-like menu pops up. To add plugins, just copy the ini files and bmp files of the plugin you download and your homebrew nds file into the _dstwoplug folder. Make sure they have the same name.

Ex.
Lonewolf3.nds
Lonewolf3.bmp
Lonewolf3.ini

Head over here to download plugins and for tutorials on how to make them.

Skins/RTM

To download and install skins, go here

RTM stands for Real Time Menu. You can access this menu anytime ingame, and apply cheats, save/load state, look at a game guide, use Slo-mo, and use free cheat.
The default key for RTM is L+R+Start, but you can change it in EOS (start menu)

For help on creating real time game guide guides, go here

For help on using free cheat, learn Cheat Engine and the rest should be self explanatory.

NDSGBA/NDSSFC

For n00bs, NDSGBA is GBA emulation and NDSSFC is SNES emulation. Anyway, for roms put then in \NDSGBA (or NDSSFC)\gamepak\
If NDSSFC is not included in the EOS package, download it here And put the NDSSFC folder in the root and the .plg .ini and the .bmp file in the _dstwoplug folder.
To upgrade NDSGBA, do the same as above but put the NDSGBA folder in the root and download it here

The end, i will add more when i have the time.

What? You can win a DStwo but you will need a DSTWO to enter the contest
I would enter if I had one, but have fun everyone :(

oooookay this is going to be the 4th time that I say it :)
you can win a PS3BREAK or a $35 coupon instead.
there sure ARE some DSTWO owners on here right?
this is supposed to be the number one place for dstwo owners

i guess to shut everyone up i should've just said: "get a chance to win a PS3break, a $35 coupon, but NOT a supercard dstwo!"

besides i already said that you could write a tutorial about a popular homebrew if you didnt already own a SCDSTWO.
for example that guy who wrote about yahoo messenger, you could do the same for msn im sure that'd be appreciated
