My MEGA AWESOME MOTHER!

I love my mother so freaking much!
She sets so many rules over my head around technology.

She just tries to ruin my iPad/ iPod touch
Every school night at 9:00 she takes all my mobile devices.
But she does not just take them. She places them onto of each other to "save space" But everything is ether on my iPod or iPad. It's like she wants to freaking scratch my devices.

She does not understand about my pc updates. When i shut it down to give it to her, She tell me to "SHUT IT OFF NOW!!" when it says "updating do not shutoff the power" So.... I am not gonna risk messing up my laptop. Since i let it update, she took it away for a week!!! Now, this is just my Laptop. Still have my ds and shit.

I am also having an internet problem!
We only get 60GB per month. And my sister torrents like crazy. She uses all our band width when her boy friend has freaking unlimited!!!! I swear. If we go over and my dad cancels the internet I will have nothing to do. I am thinking about changing the password on the router. for a month just to show my dad that with me just using it we won't go over. IT PISSES ME OFF!

I presume these problems come with being a teenager. I didn't used to have problems, but now my parents keep saying i;m not normal (good thing to tell you 15 year old son)

So.. now i'm on the shittiest pc ever.

You say that she's the greatest now, but in a week you'll be chastising her for her online grammar.

Thank you very much! *snaps fingers*

I gave my dad shit for not typing like a real person.

bleh , explain to them how valuable these things are .
show the actual computer to your parents so they will believe you . no wait, they'll just say update it during the day .

When it's on? :unsure:

They always tell me how valuable they are!
If i get a single scratch on that iPad I'm going to have a fit

I could be totally wrong, but I'm going to guess that these rules are because you don't have the best grades and your parents want you to focus? I was in a very similar hole during my first two years of high school, but this year I'm digging myself out of that rut and aiming for a 4.0. Since I've actually been trying this year my parents could basically not care any less about what I do. :) My day after school consisted of watching pirated anime for three hours, playing a few SNES games, and then finally doing the day's homework a few minutes ago, while browsing Facebook and this forum.

So basically, if I am right, prove that you can get good grades without having everything you do for enjoyment confiscated (which isn't a good motivator anyway, I know from experience) and hopefully they'll trust you more.

If I'm wrong, this was one massive waste of a post. :mellow:

I concur.

Your iPad? Your iPod? I'm pretty sure your parents bought them for you. Same with your bandwidth and your internet and your laptop.

While I've never had any restrictions on my technology it's not unreasonable to have limits set on them. Your mom does provide for you, for that I say she can do whatever the hell she wants provided it doesn't physically or emotionally harm you. And no, taking away some electronics for a few hours is not emotionally harmful.

I've seen people who are much worse off. Just thank whatever God you pray to your father isn't an alcoholic dirtbag who beats you senselessly from room to room. My friend has one of those and it pains me to think about it.

didn't you say, you couldn't get a job because you didn't speak french? So maybe if your grade was higher in french you could understand better to get a job!

I presume these problems come with being a teenager. Authority problems generally do.I didn't used to have problems, but now my parents keep saying i;m not normal (good thing to tell you 15 year old son)You do spend a lot of time on the temp and probably other internet sites.

So.. now i'm on the shittiest pc ever.Doubt it.
I didn't even have a pc until my grandparents bought me one when I went to college.

i think canadians are really low standards, 51 is passing

in Texas we have to get at least a 70 to pass
which never affected me, I've never gotten even close to a 70 or lower before

Wrong. Kinda.

It depends on the school - in both countries, although the generally accepted scale for both is your usual 90=A, 80=B, etc.

European countries tend to do it differently, though, for example, France uses a 20 point scale for 99.9% of higher-level things.

well when i was in HS (last year)
0~39 == E
40~49 == D
50~64 == C
65~84 == B
85~100 == A
GRADE E?!?!?!
What next? A G?
:ha: that made my day
I wouldn't let mercluke speak for all Australians, anything below 50% is an F, he must have just gone to a messed up school...

just edit the settings of your laptop that if you close it. it doesn't power off. if they tell you to shut it off. let it update and just close it that way they can't complain :P
