Strange, when my laptop died while playing minecraft, it continued from the same point I was at before. Did you save the world at all prior to the laptop dying?

You know when my laptop overheats? This is what happens. Ive done this maybe 20 times!
Should have just given me a direct message and Id reassure you instantly. you only lost the stuff you were carrying at the time, or stuff you left lying around loose.
Though that can be shit too, last time it happend to me I'd just mined a huge diamond, gold and redstone deposit.
Then I punched my laptop...

Srlsy? No way? You tried just clicking on the world again- it will say empty on the slot but it should recreate the world? Have a big long look around, cos it changes the spawn point. Or use cartographer to look for torches + landmarks instead and save yourself the time.
