I went to the shops and had enough for an xbox elite 120gb and about 2-3 games but my friends don't have one so online will be lonely.
Anyway i hate the idea of paying for internet, plus my sister told me not to get an XBOX cause they suck

Yea let's listen to women for which console to buy...

If I would listen to my GF when wanting to buy a console, it would go like this:

GF plays on Xbox 360 once.
GF loses, and blames on the xbox
GF tells me to never buy an xbox, all xbox games + the xbox itself sucks.

That's kinda how it goes with girls..

well it would be very lonely if i got an xbox, cause none my friends have one except my best friend i have known for 10 years.
But he also has a PS3 xD
And XBOX has no Ratchet and Clank, which i have missed out on cause i used to be a Ratchet and Clank maniac back at the PS2 ages.

I have both systems and I'm not quite sure which one I love more.
Personally, I think you should get whatever system suits you the best.
Only you know what you really like. So if you change your mind and get a 360 or decide to get a ps3, I hope that you enjoy it

Yes, saving up was a great achievement for me
Anyway i think the PS3 suits me better.

I have a PS3 and i bought Assassins Creed when it came out. Played it for 2 days.
I bought Prototype when it came out, giving the PS3 another chance. Played it for 1 day.
Every game i buy or try on the PS3 i play for 1 day and get sick of.
In conclusion, PS3 sucks.

I'm with you there on the subject of Live getting lonely without people you actually know. I really hate playing online games with random strangers. Most of the time people are unfriendly, annoying, or just downright rude because they can.

Play Uncharted. That is the truth of the ps3.

Red Dead Redemption is another gem.

Have you even tried the GOTYs that were on ps3 recently? (i.e. RDR and Uncharted 2)

Redemption is available on the 360 as well, however Uncharted is not.

Merely am i presenting my own point, yet we have 12 year old kids here insulting me due to it.
I have tried and given PS3 more chances but every game i try seems like they try too hard with the graphics and not enough with gameplay.
Every game i try has the most repetitive gameplay imaginable, and all the kids think its "awesome" because of the graphics.

Yeh i bought Red Dead Redemption too.
Lasted a few hours.

my trick is to not buy games unless they are around $20-$40
But any higher then that i will ask for christmas/bday, but i usually just pirate

Demon's Souls, must have. It's $20 new here.
Valkyria Chronicles, no damn idea what it costs, but it's a must have.

Demon's Souls is a very good recommendation. That game is a challenge, but it's quite easy to get addicted to it.
Dragon Age is a very good game, as well as Mass Effect 2. (But since that just came to the PS3, it's a bit... pricey.)

Black Ops have pretty graphics and Zombies is pretty cool to play.

Assassin's Creed II is pretty interesting and it'll definitely have you thinking.

hoping to get call of duty world at war as that's my favourite cod before black ops.
