He is 13...check his profile. Geez, that makes me feel REALLY old at 43. I got 30 years on ars25, makes me feel like an old fart. I get gas and there are dust clouds. I hate getting old. Wish I could be 13 again.....sigh....

Well I'm not sure if it was my childhood console but it was the system I played a lot as a youngster (I'm 18 of course). My first home console though was a PSX.

Probably the fondest memories I have was Pokemon and the GBC, which I barely bought any games for outside of the Pokemon ones. Nowadays though I want to buy GBC games but they're getting to be quite pricey or just rare.

PSX games I can just play on my PSP though and I don't want to expand my Gamecube library outside of what I have (the only game I put a bagillion hours into was 007 Nightfire because it's like one of the best first person games ever).

Most games don't work on my PS1, so basically I can only play Spyro: Ripto's Rage and Tekken 3 (Tomb Raider sometimes works)
My Gameboy collection includes:

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/Mystery Dungeon Red
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2

My cousin gave me his GameCube with SSBM, Mario Power Tennis, and Star Fox Assault

I had a Gameboy Color and N64 when I was a kid (I got stuff like the GCN and GBA too, but that was when I was like 10), and I loved it. The N64 is also my favorite console ever, and nostalgia definitely plays a big part.

When I was a kid, I had a Gameboy Color. Never bought anything except the Pokemon games.

I could get a small fortune selling it; Every single cartridge works (including my badly translated Green) and the batteries still work.

Even I feel old now, with all those people saying that the gamecube is their childhood console. And I'm only 19!
My childhood consoles were a Commodore 64, then a NES, then a SNES and Gameboy (the first one) at my grandma (she was very into games). Then I got a n64 for my birthday.

More recently are the GBA, NDS and Wii. Never had the cube

I started with a Gameboy Colour - the translucent purple one and Pokemon Yellow

that's what originally got me into video games. My great grandparents also had an NES which I think is still around somewhere.

I had a Master System as a boy. All I had was the pre-installed Sonic the Hedgehog. This was during the 16 bit era.

My childhood game consoles:

Atari 2600
Nintendo Entertainment System
Super Nintendo Entertainment System (I prefer Super Famicom because of design)
Game Boy (First design)

Why ? Best third party supports in the past for those systems.

Best consoles/Portable in my life!

Well, my childhood didn't consist of many game consoles, since I was born in 1968. My earliest consoles were; some old PONG system, Odyssey II, Atari 2600, Intellivision, Commodore 64.

My "childhood consoles" were usually a bunch of older gaming consoles that my cousin had saved (She's 18 now.)

She had given me her old gameboys and gameboy color collection, along with her Sega genesis and stuff. I had also considered my Gamecube a "childhood console".

My early childhood memories are sitting with an NES and SNES. Some years later, I met the N64, then a few years after that, I met the Gamecube. Of course, that was just the Nintendo progression of my console ownership.
