To be honest, I think hate for people like Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black is just really blown out of proportion. I mean yeah, they might be talentless and whatever, but seriously but you don't have to hate on them like as if you'd die if they don't stop making music. Record labels are just money grubbers, even if you hate these pop star wannabes to hell they would still be signing more of them since they are highly profitable.

Rather than spending your time hating on them, you might as well spend your time promoting your favourite obscure rock band.

I mean wouldn't it look better if more of your posts were " Hey dude, listen to <insert band name here>. They make really awesome prog stuff." instead of "Rebecca Black is so retarded, you should go listen to some real and better music!"?

When you was younger I'm sure that whatever you listened to, older people hated it.

I listen to various types of music, does it mean it's bad? No. It just means I like to listen to different music.

You can sit on your high horse of vinyls and tape cassettes all day but it doesn't change the fact that people have different tastes and the kids love Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber. It's just shit you have to put up with.

I usually don't jump on the hate bandwagons and instead judge for myself. In this case her singing isn't terrible, I've listened to Friday and the first minute of Prom Night - they have some nice catchy tunes there. However her voice seems a little bit too much flat and I don't like how they use synthesizers or whatnot to change it and make it seem a little bit robotic. And the song gets too much repetitive. Otherwise it seems similar to what's nowadays on the pop stations in radio.

But has anyone else noticed how she, Selena Gomez and Penelope Cruz look a bit similar?
