Whats up with Today's Cartoons?

Is random really that popular? I swear, I watched some new show Cartoon Network has been showing for a few minutes. Its called "Adventure Time".
I just flipped the show on and here is some yellow dude all mangled up in a hospital bed with the sign "You smell like Dog buns" beside him. WTF are they feeding kids these days? :wtf: Theres is even a show called "The Random Show". And guess what? Its just a bunch of random nonsense. Who would have guessed that??? The fact that kids enjoy this stuff sickens me. Anyone else agree that stuff kids watch these days is garbage?

I used to watch Spongebob, but the only moderately interesting recent episode I found was "trenchbillies". Aside from that, my HD has all of Rocko, Rugrats, Invader Zim, Code Monkeys, Megaman NT Warrior, KaBlam!, Angela Anaconda :creep:, Megaman Axxes, and more to be downloaded later, that I can handle. :yay: I prefer downloading episodes though, I hate commercials. :glare: NO I don't have DVR. Now to figure out what else is a good series....
You have Kablam!! Dude where are you downloading this stuff!!!! Linky in a PM for all that is good and holy!!! Please!

He probably uses torrent sites, which we're not allowed to link to, according to the rules. :/

(question to staff: these piracy rules still apply for PM's, right?)

I think its only posts in threads where any copyright troll can look and see.

Last time I checked PMs are private and not moderated.
So it's up to your own moral decisions...rofl.

i agree there are alot of ridiculous cartoons that are aired. i remember where there used to be Hey arnold, digimon, legit-pokemon, legit-yugioh, medabots, and so many more. Now they kinda suck..

If you where not a kid in the 80's then you got and are still getting hosed. All the best stuff was back then, (Thundercats, Ducktales, The Gummy Bears, Fraggle Rock, SilverHawks, Wheeled Warriors, and M.A.S.K.)

Hell, even Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony and the Popples was better then this crap that's on now.

Holy F**k, Fighting Foodons and Cubix, that brings back memories.

I hate the way modern cartoons have CG effects tacked on (like shaded cells or CG modeled characters/backgrounds). It looks souless. :angry2:

See, this is what I mean. [pukes guts out]

Seriously, wtf is that on the right, a warg? :rofl2:

Phineas and Ferb. It's an outstanding satire, great for kids and accessible to adults due to all the surprising adult oriented humor. It's intelligent, witty, and has enough recognizable references to make it watchable for those adult-cartoon types. Fairly Odd Parents is excellent, somehow surpassing Spongebob sometimes, if you leave out the damn movie. Finally, Chowder is probably the best on Cartoon Network even though its ended (still airing I think), great show.

Adventure Time is a great show. Not everything is total shit. It's about the same, it's probably just the nostalgia goggles. While I watch Johnny Bravo or the Powerpuff Girls whenever it's there, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't catch the next episode of a new series.
Downhill since spongebob if you ask me.
This. I don't give a shit what people say, Spongebob is actually making kids stupid. There's no morals or anything in it. It's a joke.

If I ever have kids of my own, I'm going to let them watch toons, but toons that I watched as a kid, that allowed me to become who I am today.

These days, they censor everything for kids, and it doesn't give them any experience or anything. Cigarettes/Cigars are gone, guns are gone, no violence at all (not even the word Hell). I mean, even South Park in it's early stages had morals with it's "today I learned something" at the end of each episode.

The shows that are on TV today, don't teach the kids anything, it makes them stupid.

When I was growing up, I watched shows like Rupert the Bear, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Felix the Cat, CatDog, Rugrats, Dexters Lab, Animaniacs, Rocko's Modern Life just to name a few.

Also, I don't consider Spongebob 90's as it was in '99. Just like I don't consider myself an 80's kid because I was born in '89.

Also, today's toons, just can't teach kids like shows from my childhood.
