Portal

Hi everyone,

I recently decided to try out this highly rated game, and man I must say, I'm glad I did, finished Portal 1 last month, and today Portal 2. I hope there's a 3rd one. GLaDoS is the best villain I've ever seen in a game lol. Wheatley was icing on the cake. Oh shit I said Cake.

My fav part in Portal 2
The last battle where you gotta Portal Wheatley out into space, that moon part was VERY creative IMO

Would I recommend this game to friends/family? I already am!!

If you want to find out more about portal then you need to play the Half-Life games.

Everything in portal is in the Half-Life universe.
Theres actually an Aperture Scince cameo in episode 2.

Yeah I know that xD, I've finished all HL too, and also.....TF2 shares the same sound effects in some parts.

I've played and completed only HalfLife 1.
I liked it a lot (and it's the only FPS I've completed on PC).

I would like to try Portal, but I'm not a PC gamer (I don't want to register and install steam only to test a game 5 min).
I would better find someone who can lend/rent me Portal or Orangebox on a console (PS3, right?).


I'm curious about halfLife 2 story, but I'm more curious about portal mechanics.

I've finished Portal 1 and the only complaint that i had was the game was too short for me.

But Portal 2 compensates for that and is much longer than the first one. Plus I love the Co-Op games.

Just by looking at the title of this thread I could tell it was going to be a good review, seriously, anyone who says that Portal is even bad is either stupid or doesn't like video games.

GLaD you liked it and I totally agree about making a 3rd. Maybe it could be a prequel?

I play through Portal every once in a while. I love it.
I loved Portal 2 a lot too but I don't feel like playing the whole thing repeated times, it's pretty long, specially compared to the first one. I also kinda like repeating the first one better because I like the dialog better, just you and GLaDOS and her awesome lines.

About your favorite part, I don't think that's my favorite part, but I think it was the most epic.

Now I'm pretty excited about Quantum Conundrum.

    Yea it does. And you can add platform character behavior to your own charcter, and it will have move and jump already setup for you, space bar is jump, arrows move
