I've been thinking...

You know, a lot of good members have left. And the site feels like it's kinda lost it's appeal to me or something. I actually spend more time in the shoutbox then I would do other things. This isn't a "leaving" thread or anything, I just feel that the site isn't as great as it use to be. Something just feels odd to me. And I don't know what it is.

It feels like I should say more....but I can't seem to think of what too say.

I can't say I've found the standard of general discussion, has particularly changed for better or for worse during my membership.

Agreed.

I only regret a few people not being as active (GOLI WHERE ARE YOU) but this whole "The site was SOOOO much better back in the day" talks makes people sound like hipster douches.

Although the amount of weaboos here has increased significantly. At times I feel like I'm the only non-weaboo, minus some of the other staff.

The site always goes through periods where select people leave, its been a cycle that has happened every year.
Sure helpful people leave, but helpful people come as well. That's how it has always been.

This has actually in my head for quite awhile now, I know that members come and go, but I just felt like I should say what was in my head, it was kinda giving me a headache.

I don't know what you're talking about, the more I come here, the more I see the same people over and over lol. The only one who I don't see is Monkat, but that's not a bad thing (for me at least).

Monkat got banned for posting pr0n if IRC. So he hasn't got much of a choice.

Sites like this fluctuate with the scene in which they're related to. When the GBA and then DS scenes were most active with new games and developments, GBAtemp was consequently likely to receive a boost from that enthusiasm.

Things feel fallow now because it feels a bit like we're running on empty waiting for the next big thing. If the 3DS was suddenly exploited and a load of new exciting games and homebrew was released, encouraging new faces to pop up you'd most definitely see a resurgence.

Honestly, I feel like this site has been going downhill for the past year and a half or so. I felt that it was mainly a video game/hacking/modding discussion forum when I first came here, but now, it just feels like a social/off topic forum half the time.

Being here for 2 years and telling how things have changed. I lol'd. There are blogs and offtopic for people to post that stuff. And it's not going "down", it's just changing
