Not everyone does. Obviously it all boils down to your own interactions and how meaningful a relation you had with her.

Not feeling anything, and feeling everything, are both equally powerful reactions to a something like this, and there is no "supposed to be's"

My condolences. May she rest in peace.
 
I felt the same way when my first grandparent died. It's because they're old and you sort of expected it. It's completely different when someone much younger dies.
