Yup... Just after two years (and three vaccinations), I'm testing positive for covid - 19.
Girlfriend works in the hospital. Despite that they still use masks, it's fairly certain she brought it home last Friday. She wasn't well in the weekend, but only went to the doctor on Monday.
I was probably infected at that time but because i had hardly any symptoms (i spare you a detailed look at my toilet pot, but it wasn't extreme or anything) I was at work when i got the news. It was more due to habit that i still wore a mask (and okay: i used the train, where it's still obligated).
But because i was roughly at the other end of Belgium, I couldn't exactly rush out of what i was doing.
And admitted : i didn't expect to be positive either. I was disgruntled when i canceled board game night attendee, but the test wouldn't be reliable if i tested negative (inoculation period and such).
... But i didn't test negative. I was positive. Just like my girlfriend earlier.
Our daughter's fine, however. Not that it means much, because we can't exactly bring her to kintergarden right now.
So... This is our first day of quarantine, going until coming Sunday (for her) and Monday for me.
If it wasn't for little one (she wants constant attention, which is a burden of I'm honest), i wouldn't mind. But my symptoms have shot up: I've now got a soar throat, tiredness and a woozy head ('fog in the head' if you want the literal translation).
Girlfriend 's constantly coughing and has lost her taste (well... Somewhat came back a couple hours ago?).
We had our parents - in - law' s for for 'babysitting'. She's gone back home now. But our own dog isn't well either. Probably not covid, but she's sharing in the misery.
But then again : daughter's fine. That's what matters most.
Stay safe out there!
