Dream to becoming a Detective.

So,I've recently thought of my future goal or career I want to look foward to in life.Yet,I realise I'm still in Middle School about to enter High School.I'm planning on going to an above average High School where you will either break or succeed.Anyone know what some good classes are to take, and yes I know I have to take basic classes like English,Geometry, etc. Thanks for any help

Detective you say... I would recommend taking any law classes that your high school might offer. Also maybe some courses like sociology/psychology.

Though as far as I can remember, these classes were only offered in my junior and senior year. It might be different at your school though (probably).

Detective like in private detective or in the police ? Because there might be some schools for that. Anyway, I would suggest some maths, philosophy (rhetoric and logic), law, psychology, biology (physiology), a litttle bit of chemistry and physics can help too...

It's an interesting career choice, to say the least. Any classes in law would be good, and you might want to see if your local police station offers any programs to younger members of the community. It could help you determine whether or not police work will be a good fit.

Also, definitely watch the movie Mystery Team. Hell, even if you end up not wanting to, check it out anyway.

*clears throat* Little padawan, you're just 13 years old. Making a career choice and keeping to it is nigh impossible. (I'm not meaning to disappoint you).
Being a detective in real life isn't anything like in the cartoon, or life-action series you see on the television. Remember that. Don't expect it to be a job for the light-hearted. You'll have to investigate serious crimes like (sexual) assaults, robbery, organized crimes, drug crimes, domestic violence and homocide. You'll have to be emotionally very strong to handle such things as tragedies, cruel events and so on.

Try finding someone who is actually a detective. You could ask him what he did before becoming a detective.

I like how you went from a serious response to rubbish.

ITT, little kids think detective is an awesome job full of adventures.
Protip: being a MD isn't like House MD, either.

Trust me,I know that it's different from anime or real-life action series.I've also experienced some tragic events in my life.I feel the need to contribute to society and try to do my part in it even if it's not much.I will also take every ones advice, haha.
