Fate is cruel.

Fate decided to be cruel to me today.
I was cart attending, and my 3ds was in one pocket, my case in the other.
My case slipped out and I hadnt noticed.
Looked down just as a car ran it over.
My DSTWO, Mario Kart 7, Porfessor Layton, Kingdom Hearts, paper Mario sticker star, and kid Icarus were destroyed...

Damaged chips and everything? There are replacement cases on ebay I think.
Would be awesome if you could show Nintendo the destroyed carts and get download codes in return... Eh, like that's ever going to happen :(

Chips and everything on most of em.
I did manage to get three of em traded into GameStop for $60 of In store credit. They'll probably recase em themselves but I'm pretty sure they're shot.
Either way I was happy to walk away with some credit. I'm going in tomorrow to replace my Kid Icarus and Mario kart 7, and I have a coupon that'll let me get Tales of The Abyss for free. Anything else ill have to either find on ebay cheap, or not bother replacing :/ still can't believe it happened...

Oh gosh, that's terrible. It's especially sad since these are pretty good titles. As Eerpow already said, I hope you can rebuild your collection quickly enough, if your wallet and free time allow for that.

The only thing that seriously surprises me is the fact that you've actually managed to destroy a 3DS/DS cart. All of mine are sturdier than bricks. I wanted to test them once, I took the game I wanted least (some crappy shovelware) and tried hammering it, have it run over by a car, etc. It's still in mint condition. I can't, for the life of me, get that thing to wear or tear one bit.

So, either yours have been run over by a truck carrying 20 cars, or you're just extremely unlucky. (Actually you're unlucky in both cases, thinking about it now)
