Friday Madness

It's...done! So, I'm a bit late in doing this but I'm still pretty happy over the fact that there are only two more days left of school (for the time being) and the projects I had to do for Science(nope, not you, science) is done. XD It was so haaaard to do because...I did all twelve of them on the same day. D: Yes, I'm a procrastinator by heart...There was also the fact that I've been slipping in and out of depression this past month which made it increasingly hard for me to focus on my classwork.

Only thing left to do on my to do list? Finish the watercolor painting for my Art class (I might provide pics if you guys ask hard enough :P), do a two-page comic strip and write that speech for English! XD A lot easier to do than twelve projects, in my opinion. Haha.

Hmm...well, that's pretty much it for now. I have no life, remember? :lol:

Oh yeah...and I did this because there was an uproar about Friday being Friday the 13th or something. XD

Weeeeell, I haven't finished painting it still but I figured I'd at least show you guys the progress I've made. X3

It sucks really badly so I'mma going to put a spoiler here. :P

I'm a noob when it comes to watercolor painting so don't flame me too badly. >_> And we have poor lighting in my house so...yeah.

I wound up doing several dozen projects in the last 3 days of school because I procrastinated for the last few months of school also, so, yay for a kindred spirit!

Sound like you are doing well in catching up! I'm a pretty bad procastinator as well.

In my college astronomy class we had a semester long project...to plot the sunset every 3 days and moons travel across the sky every 4. Two days before the project was due I went online and googled abunch of information..using some math and pieces of lined paper I was able to fake it. The professor said "this is unfakeable, you will fail if you try" I got a B+.

I'd like to see some arts as well! The best art comes from restless souls...so channel whatever may be bringing you down into some uplifting arts! It's helped me when I was troubled in the past!

And a positive mood is required for proper study habits. Your ability to properly store and recall information is compremised when you have an increase in stress hormones (such as cortisol and norepinephrine) and decrease neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine.

Yes I can see them now. They are pretty good! I'm not a visual artist myself, can't draw a straight line! But I enjoy the detail of the mountains! and the haze above the tree line. Very nice =) Its alittle dark, due to your poorly lighted home, but I'll just put my monitor abit brighter for now.

But yeah, as much as I love landscapes... I'm sucker for the abstract and enjoy the second picture the most. I have a feeling it would be even more appealing if I was seeing the colors as bright as they probably are in real life. Like the contrast between the purple and orangeish there. I love that bright orange, its my favorite color. And I wish I could make out more of the picture to perhaps grasp some more symbolism from it.

The whole purple orangeish thing must have been the twilight I did as the background. XD I liked that one too. I was really scared that you guys would think it sucks because I've only had Art this year and am a noob at everything. XD

Your paintings are AMAZING :D. I couldn't do anything like that if I tried O-O....

Seriously though, those both look great. Though I cant tell what the second pic is...(looks like two hands in the sky, a kid on the roof of a 3 dimensional building being gripped by somesort of energy twists/ropes...) I think they are both neat and interesting.

How do you do those? Do you trace the picture in light pencil first, then color the outline or what?

Please don't hurt me! My teacher is just really good at what she does!

The second one is actually a puppeteer thing...I can't remember what we're supposed to call it. Anyways, what we basically had to do was draw two hands which represent two sides and are controlling something. The hand on the left is offering the boy a sword while the hand on the right (which is evil DX) carries some sort of bomb that can make the whole place explode. The boy doesn't want to use the sword though because it's too medieval and tries to reach for a more technologically advanced weapon. >_<

For the second one, I traced the hands from hands I've made in another sheet of paper. Other than that, I just drew them directly on the paper. For the first one, I just drew the animal and marked the places where I was going to put the grass. For the mountains, I placed wax on them so that some parts would remain white even if I paint over them.

Thanks for the comments, guys! XD Now I don't have to be so nervous come Monday when we have to submit them.

But seriously, you shouldn't be nervous at all. I think they look good :).
The 2nd picture, explained, is a little clearer. Its supposed to be abstract or something vague, right?

Also, if your going to hide somewhere to avoid a murderer, its best if you dont scream O_0....*walks slowly toward the only screaming trashcan in the alley, casually tapping a knife blade*

Thanks. XD Although...now that I think about it...the only thing I have to hand is the first one. X3 I already got my grade for the second one. Hehe.

*gets a spoon out of pocket and starts digging* This is taking waaaaay too long. *dashes out of the trashcan and stumbles on a banana skin* Yaaaargh!!!
