So, yesterday was quite interesting. I finally got my check from the government, not getting what I thought I was going to get but, whatever. I start looking around for my copy of Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS. All the stores I checked didn't have it. So, I go home, defeated. Then, I had this nagging suspicion to check just one more Gamestop. And surprisingly enough, they had it. But, thing was, the store closed at 9pm. I look to the clock, seeing that it was only ten minutes away. Normally, I'd say "Eh, I'll go tomorrow and hopefully, they will have it." But, something in me drove me to jump into the car and race down to get it. The first minute passes and I'm stuck behind this slow traffic light. After that, I got onto the freeway at about 8:52. Of course, you have those massive, slow trucks in the way to slow you down but, some quick lane changes dealt with that. So, I get off the freeway at 8:56 and I was almost there, almost crashing into a center divider and becoming a witness to another accident that would of happened right in front of me. I was like "... I don't have time for this." I swerved around this and I made the left turn and parked as fast as I can. I saw the lights are on but, that doesn't tell me squat. My heart didn't get to relax until I grabbed that door handle and pulled on it, seeing the door gave way easily. I made it within two minutes before it closed... annnnd I walked away with their last copy of Tales of the Abyss.
I think it's moments like that, that makes some games so much more memorable. Plus, I feel this is worth while because, I'm enjoying it. ^.^ "Free Run" and "Manual" settings, ftw! This game will keep me busy for a while. XD
