Hey everybody I'm back..Banned from NeoGaf

So......
I used to post quite a lot here on GBATemp just a couple of years ago, and I like to think that I've been sometime helpful to newcomers in need, however I've been playing less and less lately, concentrating my ever shrinking gaming time on PC, therefore I barely post anymore.
However I've been lurking around here and NeoGaf just to " keep in the loop " and still keep informed on what's going on in the industry.

Last night I got fed up with NeoGaf because apparently, if you don't hate Trump and Trump supporters ( either of which I don't care about ) you are inherently evil and deserved to be banned !

Like on most gaming forums there is an OFF-Topic subforum on NeoGaf, which is constantly spammed by anti-Trump threads.
Fine, I never posted there, I don't care, I never revealed my political affiliation ( if any ) and so generally I just avoid the off-topic subforum since the stupidity and bias can sometime be overwhelming.
I stick to the "gaming news" forum.

So yesterday somebody posts http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1339269 about Insomniac Games releasing a video in protest of Trump's temporary immigration ban right there in the gaming forum.

I politely stated that such a discussion belongs to the off-topic section. No more, no less.

Needless to say, I've been immediately assaulted by several "members " till I decided to once again "politely " reply the following :

Then I started to wonder how long would it take for the moderators to ban me, and surely enough, as soon I refreshed the page, I got this :

Now, good riddance, I actually couldn't stand some of the whiners there anymore, however being BANNED just for this on a forum that prouds itself for being against oppression, Nazis, censorship and ( ironically ) a BAN on immigration to/from lands that I've never been in and I don't care for and what a President does in his country for which I have no rights to judge, is definitely unjust and highly hypocritical .

So, the hell with the hypocrites NeoGaf elites, I'm back here and I hope we can have some civil discussion in the future.

So what happened to that screen that was posted earlier with the nazi symbolism, I have a feeling you probably did more to get banned.

Nope. I just posted the two posts above. Go and check the original thread, the link is provided above.
No repeated offense either, I rarely posted on their forum anyway and it was exclusively about videogames. No warning either, no second chance, just banned for life !
Regarding the NeoNazi symbol, maybe I crossed the line but I was just jocking around with Bluefox Gui.
I apologize if I offended anybody ( other then NeoNaziGAF of course ) ;)

NeoGaf is full of autists. You should see the way they reacted to Jontron or GamerGate. It's toxic in there.

Hmpf. NeoGAF makes the worst (ex-)users of GBATemp look like normal, sensible people. The amount of fan-wank is ridiculous. Like, I don't see anyone ever disagreeing. Basically, Nintendo is their GOD and if you disagree, you deserve to be crucified. I remember when Nintendo DMCA'd those fangames. Every community on the internet was sad. Except for NeoGAF. They celebrated it, like it was a good thing.

It's kinda like watching a circlejerk subreddit, but then without anyone ever understanding that the circlejerking (=fan-wank for the uninitiated) is done for the sake of humor. They're doing it 100% unironically. It's just sad.

Hell, GameFAQs is more mature than NeoGAF, and I think GameFAQs' communities are shit. So I don't think you're really suffering from any losses by being banned from NeoGAF.

Welcome back anyway.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome. I was actually e pretty active member here when some of you were still babies LOL ( with all due respect ) .
Just to point it out to some of those feller babies being a little harsh on me now, this blog ( started as an off-topic discussion ) is not about being butt hurt, or whining, or complaining. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys. At least you know what to expect if you are thinking of joining that particular forum.

Ha ha, good one Bluefox. I actually was lurking these forums in the early 2000's and registered in 2006. That's over ten years ago.
Some of the teenager members here today were indeed babies back then ;)

I'm even more surprised you were accepted to join, that place has very strict acceptance policies. I tried to join but never got accepted :P

Joking about Nazi crap makes you seem like a loser trying to get a rise out of people. I love it how people act offended when people act offended, like they don't have the right to be offended or something. It's OKAY for people to be offended at Nazi jokes, SORRYYYYYYY
