Lobster pot pie

So yeah. My Dad cooked a LOBSTER POT PIE TODAY and holy hell, was it good. I was slightly worried at first; as a CULINARY EXPERT (:P) I know not ALL dairy products go well with seafood (and this thing has several types of creams and things). He was supposed to cook it for dinner, but to my pleasant surprise, he made it early so I had to for breakfast. :wub:


EVERY. FUCKING. BITE. Was amazing. It was flaky, creamy, lobstery, hot, veggie and seafood loaded goodness. And he made a lot of it too, so I had extras.

He was able to make it with only ~12 dollars worth of supplies. How FANTABULOUS. ^_^

Anybody who is a seafood fan, you should give one a shot one day. You won't regret it. :P

It was this recipe. However, the differences he made (with some of my input)

*instead of light cream/milk... Heavy cream was used (for thicker filling)
*No mushrooms (my sister doesn't like them :P You're welcome to leave them)


That's it really. If lobster/crab are too expensive, try using imitation stuff, it'll surely still be good. If you are low on cash, pre-made crust are also an option. You can actually make a "low budget version" and make it in under 14 bucks, with stuff you'll find at your local grocer. I really loved the recipe. I hope you guys like it too. :P

    I've been to his chicken restaurant he started in his 2nd movie, Holy Chicken, was pretty good. It is only 15-20 miles from me in Ohio. It only lasted 1 yr or so then closed tho.

    There are very few people I just have just an immense dislike of and he's one of those very few people, the only other example is Gene Simmons. My musician uncle on my mother's side of the family actually met Gene once during some event and said he was the most unpleasant person to be around.
