My growing DS/3DS game collection. Part Two.

A bunch of packages arrived in the mail today. I've been ordering old Star Trek novels...though collecting old books is difficult, especially paperbacks. Well moving on to the games! I picked up more items to fill and round the 3DS collection. The main attraction being the Etrian Odyssey 2 The Fafnir Knight...trying to keep my price per games budget under $30, but had to pay $48.99 for this one. It completes that collection until Etrian Oddyssey V comes out. Next is the Shin Megami Tensei IV game I picked up for $22.00, I noticed there are three more 3DS titles from this series..should I collect them all? I actually have never played this series on the DS or 3DS. Next...a physical copy of Super Mario Maker. My in-laws looked at my Christmas list and bought me a download code for the game..thats great and all but I like the actual game carts. That one set me back for $28.00. Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon..need this one to help complete my pokemon game collection. Pokemon Ranger is on the way and I just need to get Sun/Moon sealed now...and I think there is another 3DS mystery dungeon I need to get. This game cost me $30.00 so no big deals there. For my DS collection I've added Max & the Magic Marker, I remember the hype when this game came out. It was competing with Scribblenauts at the time I believe. It had decent reviews, so when I saw it for $12.00 new I figured it was time to add it. The last game to come in today was Rune Factory. I have one opened, but wanted a factory sealed one to add to the collection...not bad at $29.99. If anyone has coments on the current game picks, and what to get next let me know...there's a ton out there and I find myself sometimes buying the same game twice. Pic time:

Rune Factory 1 is awesome, even if it is buggy and glitchy. I really liked how much grinding you had to do at the beginning of the game, not that I ever wanted to do that again... mind you. But it was really interesting to watch your character grow and get stronger as the days went on. From simple farming to dungeon crawling, seasons changing, relationships blooming... so much to do. The backgrounds are beautiful and have this instantly "nostalgic" look to them imo. But the character models are a bit blocky and pull you out of immersion.

Honestly I have only played 1 to completion. I have 2 and 3 downloaded on my DSTWO but I have not played them. Now I have played a fair amount of 4, and its an overall improvement. Basically more of the same but better. My only complaints are about the story and how things kinda shake out as far as the first few chapter of the game. I don't like living in the main castle and stuff, but I think you get a farm house later on.

BORTZ: I'm going to start playing Rune Factory 1 tonight, thinking on a DSi XL. Still playing Summon Night Swordcraft Story...that GBA title was fun and was surprised by the extras at the "end" of the game.

I'll start playing it on my R4 once I get a new charger (because the old one is broken and my 2DS has no battery). I wish I had more time to play Wild World. The movement lag prevents you from enjoying the game.

just got all the castevania games for ds, wonder how good they are, on the other hand, congrats, you have a pretty good taste in games.

I've found owning the actual physical copy is more rewarding. Though the purpose of flashcarts are not lost on me...being able to carry all these games on one cart is very convenient.

NinStar @ NinStar: I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all...
