Need some tips...

Just came into some unexpected income and I'm looking to get a new graphics card.

AMD 7000 series comes to mind, so I'm curious as to who knows what about hardware and would be willing to impart some knowledge,

Inb4 people telling me intel is better. I don't care, I'm curious about AMD.

Do you mean the Radeon HD7000 series? If so it's not bad, and they had a price cut earlier this month, although you need to see how much you're willing to spend.

As for Intel ones, didn't you rather mean Nvidia (they're more expensive usually, but I only buy Nvidia)

Anyway, in order to buy a new graphics card, you first need to check if your motherboard is compatible with it, make sure you decided on how much you're willing to spend on it and get the best model for that price, if your motherboard doesn't support that graphics card, you'd need to buy a new one, but that'd bring even more costs so it'd be cheaper to just get a compatible graphics card.

Yes I'm aware of all the hardware implications. My hardware matches the PCIe 16 slots that most need so I'm good there. My 1200w Power supply can handle it, and I'm already knowledgeable on how much I wnat to spend and what brand.

I'm justr curious as to what others knew.

And yes I meant Nvidia. I didn't sleep at all so my cognitive thinking is kinda dead.

I'm thinking of going with
