Well Just take a look at this. :glare:

I would like you to know I and 4 other people was home THE DAY OF SCHEDULED DELIVERY, I was watching Summer Games Done Quick Marathon. So either I misunderstand what receptacle full/item oversize means or... is the post office again. What is the item you may wonder? Is this.

Yep, Anker Power bank charger. Pretty oversized huh? Were they trying to fit this in the mailbox? The mailbox was empty before delivery. My mom went out the day before and collected everything from it. I also like to note I ordered 2 packages the same date, and it was the same size as this one. But it was delivered to my apartment, why wasn't this one? I also want to point out that my packages as been found laying outside the door to my apartment. YOU DO NOT DO THAT IN A APARTMENT BUILDING WHERE PEOPLE CAN OPENLY STEAL IT, IS NOT PRIVATE PROPERTY! (and is New York)

As you can see by the picture above, I requested a delivery. Is been 5 Days since then and I haven't gotten any notice of anything. Is the USPS website messed up or something?

huh, they suck dont they, having the same problem imo, sorta.

So I shipped a thing to UK a week or two ago, and they still haven't recieved it.

Where did you buy it from? Amazon ?

the thing i'm more concerned about is it leaving the USPS facility before it arrives.

@DeoNaught It was purchased from ebay. Maybe I should have bought from walmart? :creep:
@blujay Well Is just I dunno what the hell the people are over there doing but they need to stop playing around over there, and to think there was a neighborhood petition to keep it open a few years ago and this is how service is, there was a reason why it should either be closed or more properly managed.

How can you deliver a package one week and don't do it again within the same week? :wtf:

UPS is bad too. I once couldn't get the door open fast enough (flaky lock) to stop the dumbass, but happened to be looking out a window and saw him not even try to deliver, just pull in the driveway, get out and stick "Sorry we missed you" note on the MAILBOX. Only USPS is supposed to even use the mailbox.

They got a lot worse in the 90's after they threw a bitch fit strike.

@jt_1258 well I mean is a apartment building, where other people live in a very closed space, open the door, see package = ??????

Is just you don't do things like that unless is private property. Even then you are supposed to deliver the package to the person, or follow the delivery instructions requested from the patron. I'm close to writing a well informed salty letter to the branch manager. :glare:

@jt_1258 I commonly use notepad to draft things before finalization. :P

But I shouldn't be worried about this in the first place. Why can't they just do their job properly? Who is over there managing the redelivery request notice? Why isn't a more viable excuse left in the tracking information? "We attempted to deliver your package but your mailbox was full. We could not enter the building. Problems occurred, we will try again tomorrow" Something. Seeing that Pink slip really gets me upset.

I used to have this problem until I started calling the delivery drivers supervisor every time he would pull this crap.

USPS is awful...
I really try my best to avoid this shitty delivery service but sometimes it's impossible.

If you want to feel better, I ordered a Power Bank 5 months ago and got it 2 months ago. Really cool, eh?

@Felek666 I wouldn't know, I don't have mine, I'm still waiting for it. :mellow:

Umm okay. But the thing is that if after a certain date a package isn't delivered is returned to sender. I dunno if i even get a refund unless I open a case for ebay.

That's why I use my work address for online shopping - with the type of work I do it's allowed and a couple others do too. Canada post has no issue leaving it in my mailbox or the oversize box, and if it's oversized the post office is in walking distance. But everyone else is shitballs and does whatever the fuck they want - even delivering to the wrong apartment once. I even get all my Amazon sent to work, since they switched to using "intelcom" instead of Canada Post.

@Futurdreamz Umm never heard of intelcom, but how is the service?

The thing is USPS is a USA thing so is very ..... Inevitable (wanted to say unavoidable) Cause even packages being delivered by others like UPS gets sent to USPS upon sender instructions at times. Is very likely to get stuck with usps even if you don't want it to be delivered.

@SAK I'm not entirely sure what Intelcom is. it seems to be a new service, with Amazon being a very significant part of their business. They are speedy, and used fro Amazon's one or two-day delivery service here.

But I'd rather they use Canada post, which is decent, reliable, and pickups are at a drugstore within walking distance of my apartment. Maybe if I pick free standard shipping instead of the default free two-day shipping?

But honestly? I'd prefer it if my apartment just accepted deliveries at the front desk. that would simplify so much

But can we agree that DHL is the shittiest? They always pass customs fees to the reciever, and often will not bother with leaving any attempted delivery notices.
