Its Sunday the 30th of May and you are here reading a thread which will be full of complete bullshit from a guy you don't know. ENJOY!!
Topic 1: Feeling a bit down this week
Posted about this before but I've been feeling a bit down since Tuesday. I give up on myself far too easily. I felt like I got the crap kicked out of me sparring on Tuesday and another thing kinda got to me. After that for me its just a simple hop to thinking my whole life is a shit-hole (not a good mentality with 2 exams left :S). So yeah the other thing is a friend of mine who's taken to hating me. Talking to a mutual friend between me and him about it made me feel a bit better as he'll often get pised off with someone and stayed pissed for a couple of months before getting over it. He's got some problems too he needs to sort out so I'm gonna hold off on sorting the mess out for a while.
Topic 2: EXAMS!!!!!!
Yeah, my Highers (I live in Scotland, suck it) are going on at the moment. For anyone who doesn't know (which I'd imagine is almost everybody) these are the exams which affect what courses and Universities I can get into. So far I have done English, Maths and Physics. All have gone well (apart from English which went as well as Higher English can go as its really fucking hard) and I just have 2 left now, Geography and Chemistry. Geography is the one I'm least looking forward to and its tomorrow morning :S. There's a heck of a lot of writing and detail I need in my answers. Hopefully I can get the timing right and push my B prelim grade up to an A. As for Chemistry, I'm not too worried. Its basically my favourite subject at school (partly due to epic teacher and partly as I like the tiny-winy bits of the universe). Chemistry is on Wednesday this week meaning I will be entirely FREEEEE for about a week.
Topic 3: Tech and Gadgets
My MP3 player is dying a slow and lonely death. I've filled the 4GB of my Creative Zen which I've had for about 3 years now, the screen's refresh rate is shot and around the edges the pixels are faded for some reason. What with my exams nearly over and me saving up over £1k this year I am going to treat myself to an 8GB iPod Touch. 8GB seems a bit small to me if I'm honest but its double the capacity of my old player and I only just filled it up and besides the next size up is 32GB which is too big for my needs and its £210 (min from Amazon, £229 if I get from JohnLewis for ease of return) which is £70 more than an 8GB...that said my parents are going to let me pay this off over a few months so I might just go for it if I can convince them. Anybody think of a reason I should go for 32GB over 8GB?
Topic 4: My own insanity
I haven't been reading much at all over the past few months, I used to read a LOT but I've run out of things to read. I've read most of the Discworld books, all the CHERUB books several times and I can't think of anything else to read. Except Twilight, that is. I'm curious as to how bad the boks are after being told by all my girl friends the films are vastly inferior to them. I really think I've gone insane but I'm really damned curious. Any ideas on what I could read other than that? I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy books considerably.
