Returning my 3DS tomorrow to Best Buy...

Well, actually, exchanging it for a new one.

My current one developed a crack which absolutely sucks. I won't be able to transfer my Street Pass data and lose all the stuff I got from since launch.

How do you think It happened? Do you believe It was caused from a stress from a faulty hinge that created a fractured crack at that place?

To be honest... I have no idea. When I first saw it, I thought it was just a mark or a small scratch then I turned it in an angle and saw a crack.

And this isn't because I didn't treat it well -- I treated it with the utmost care. I wiped it everyday to get dust and fingerprints out and had a case for it and everything.

I went to a Best Buy today (not the one i'm going to tomorrow) and asked if I could exchange it. They said it was alright for any problem as long as it was in the 30 days

I hope you can exchange. Its nasty and also best buy is bad department. They charge you an extra that is not necessarily. Walmart and Target are the best to buy. Best Buy do not deserve anything. I had heard many bad things about Best Buy. Indeed, it is up to no good.

Either he or the people who shipped it, shook it up to much or something like that.

Or maybe it wasn't mold right.


Something must have been really sharp that hit it because that doesn't just happen.

Look at all the things that happened to the 3DS.
This just puts me off even more and hope that Australian units were developed properly or we just get a better batch because this is just bullshit.
Imagine how many units they would have to get rid of/ refurbish because of this!

Just replaced it. I also complained about the hinge being loose as well.

Should I go for the 40$ 3 year warranty? It covers hinge issues as well apparently
