Yesterday I went for my house cleaning job which was inspiring as well as tiring. The reason why I have another job on the side is because my part-time stint at the call centre isn't cutting it anymore for me cause they're reducing the number of shifts we're getting per week due to lesser call volumes.
Now, I'm the sort of person who likes to get things done and find solutions to problems instead of mulling over what could have been different if I have taken the other option in the past or complain too much about my situation. I went to a local forum (think craiglist but not seedy at all) and searched for jobs that actually pays on the spot and I came across this ad "looking for a house cleaner." I dropped him a message and the rest is history.
We scheduled a date and time and I got all prepared, in fact, I prepared every thing in case if this guy is a creep or a shady character I have already took the necessary steps to inform family where I will be going, drafted an emergency messages and to look for red flags. Thank God though all was well.
His house was amazeballs! Since I'm going to get my own place one day his house gave me tons of ideas & inspirations! He lives alone, works with the government, obviously have money cause his bachelor pad screams "I'M RICH!" the renovation work was chef's kiss, the best part is when he said "help yourself to the drink, rest whenever you need to and make yourself at home" of course I didn't take his words in the literal sense since I am here to work but I helped myself to a couple cups of water cause cleaning is tough work.
Thankfully his house is generally in spick & span condition and all I am doing is dusting away week old dust and cleaning off grimes and stains, vacuuming and mopping. I have advised my rate was $15 per hour and I was done in 2 hours that amounted to $30, but he transferred me $60 for a job well done! I was loss for words cause God bless his soul! That $60 covers a lot of ground for me .
Took a shower and left and he said "see you again, I will message you." grateful for any and all opportunities.
