The Wii U is a gaming wet dream.

Just got a Wii U for my birthday! Cheezus Cheddar Cracker Christ, this console is fucking ORGASMIC.

For the life of me, I just can't understand why people hate on the Wii U so much. It's a freaking Nintendo Dreamcast HD! The gamepad is great, with the screen and the controller at just the right size. I actually love how it feels in my hands. I also have to compliment the speakers on the Gamepad, very sharp.

Smash is amazing, Bayonetta 1&2 are fucking MARVELOUS, Super Mario 3D World is out of this universe.

I'm having a total gamer-gasm with this thing.

Oh, yeah. I'll go post my Nintendo Network ID over in the appropriate thread. Might as well drop my 3DS FC while I'm at it.

I forgot that we should accept mediocrity and allow Nintendo to make consistently underwhelming consoles. It's their style!

There's a difference between graphics whoring and underlining a blatant handicap of a system. The Wii U's GPU would be laughed at in the PC world... In 2010. This is 2014.

Well, from a technical standpoint, I'd have to agree. Truth be told, money is the only reason that any system wouldn't be built to maximum specifications. Still, I suppose I'm more appreciating the excellent games and the surprising comfort of the Wii U Gamepad. On the other hand, though, it's not like a similar device COULDN'T be made for a PC and games made specifically for that device.

I find issue with a few design decisions when it comes to the gamepad. I really don't like the analog placement and digital triggers seem to be out of place on a controller in 2014. The use of a resistive screen is also quite questionable, not to mention that it's a non-HD screen for an HD system... but alas, what can you do? They had to cut costs, surely.

I'm pretty sure the Gamepad is already a huge part of the cost. I was absolutely shocked when I found out that the PS4 started out making money. The Wii U was selling at a loss for at least a year. Btw, if you ever happen to get one (yeah right, huh?), one of those skins makes it feel WAY more comfortable. I hate playing without one.

I'll actually start using one in the very nearby future since my lass owns one and we're going to live together soon (at long last!), so I'll be able to post a more educated opinion. As of right now, I find it flawed. ;)

It is flawed. I don't think anyone denies that. It doesn't mean you can't have a lot of fun with it though. :)

I dislike him usually, but when he has a point, he has a point. He's also made it a point to be a troll concerning Wii U posts because no one likes repeating themselves like a broken record. He has problems with the Wii U like 45% of this site, and spouts nonsense to be humorous. He likes the salty tears of orphaned buttmad posters, and loves it when people feed his needs.

The graphics on the Wii U aren't bad, they're just not up to par. And when we keep accepting standards that aren't up to par, we continue to get products that aren't up to par.

It's our job as consumers to let producers know that we don't accept mediocrity.
