I just realized. I could get a job writing autobiography titles! There must be money there, right?
Anyway, just got home from the dollar theater. Watched The Dark Knight Rises for the first time. What did I think of it? It's no Dark Knight, but really, what can be? I'm no movie buff, but even I know The Dark Knight's fame was really just a result of "good" timing. It's not a bad film by any means, and it came out when I worked as a janitor for a movie theater (so I got in free, so I got to see it 8 times in a single weekend taking different friends in for free, management wasn't happy), but if it came out a year earlier or a year later, the impact it left on us wouldn't be nearly as big.
Anyway, I had the lucky chance to be sitting behind a young couple... Directly behind... I have a feeling they missed the whole movie. I mean, I imagine I too would miss a movie with my lips locked around someone elses for the 3 hours... The passive aggressive nature of me shaking around the cup I had full of ice didn't get them to stop. Woo hoo...
Also, why is it that you HAVE to go to the bathroom just as a movie is getting good? And in a movie theater you can't pause the movie. You have to gamble. Which is worth it, possibly missing a VERY important part of the movie, or your bladder bursting followed by death? I got lucky though. The time I had to rush to the bathroom wasn't during any terribly important part of the movie. I got lucky...
Anyway, end of movie, went out to get a quick dinner from the local 24 hour grocery store. Come to find out it was no longer a 24 hour store starting today. Fun... And it closed before I got there too. FUN! Drove ALL the way to the other 24 hour grocery store across state lines to get my damn sandwich. Then I got home, ate said sandwich, and now I want another one.
