Using a 2010 MacBook in 2019

I use a 2010 MacBook for school. It cost me $185 in total ($100 for MacBook and $85 for 8GBs of ram and a SSD). For a 9 almost 10 year old MacBook it holds up really well :D

Also, yeah it is running macOS Mojave thanks to a tool that fixes any driver problems that would occur. If you plan on doing this make sure you upgrade the RAM. The default comes with only 2GBs of RAM (1x1). If you’ll have any questions please ask me, and if you’re going to ask “why didn’t you get a windows laptop” it’s because I like the workflow of Mac and I have a windows desktop at home (see previous blog posts). Not a fan of macs, but that's a good deal. Ram upgrade to 8gb and ssd were solid choices too especially for a "working" laptop

If it has an ODD and you don't use it, you could perhaps look into replacing it with an ODD to HDD adapter to get more space.

@tech3475 I was going to do this, however I ran into a money problem so I’ll just use what I have.... might actually do that for bootcamp (for Linux).

@DinohScene about 2 hours of life, not the best but classes only last that long :/

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
