Pokemon Rocket Black - Week 2 Update​

- I've made fairly good progress this week. Mostly Overworlds, mugshots and even finished The female grunt Backsprite! Not only this, but i've made a start on editing the text (Edited up to the first gym) and i've edited wild Pokemon up to the First gym town!

- I'm also gonna let you know that that all pokemon will be available in the game. (As with most black/white hacks) but it's also going to be a lot more varied. For example not just Pokemon like Pidgey, Zigzagoon or a Poochyena etc. will be catchable at Route 1, their will be many other types in these areas such as Fire, water, Steel etc. The reasons for both these wild pokemon changes will tie in with the story, so it won't seem odd.

-This week's photos reveal a few things:
  • How the Male hero grunt has turned out. Opinions?
  • Cassidy will be leader of Nacrene city/ Rocket base. Guess who's leader of Castelia? :P
  • How I will add new Overworlds to certain location (Rocket grunts are just photoshopped just to show what it'll be like as I havn't started to edit the overworlds properly yet).
  • Ariana will be head of your college and assigns you and your friends most of your missions. What could she be telling the team?
In a week to two weeks time when my computer gets back from repair i'll be able to really dig into the hack and start working at a much faster pace. Question though, I was wondering whether I should post the hack into the 'Rom hack and Translation' forum when the hack would be about 40% finished and include a 0.1 beta that'll go up to the First gym or something, or wait until the hack is around 90% (a few days before it's finished) and have the first release as 1.0

This does look promising, I'd definitely try it out once a patch is released.

HOWEVER...

It's not a good idea to make a thread in the hacking forums just yet. There are a ton of projects in there and let's face it. Not many see the light of day. I'm not saying this won't (I hope it does) it's just that there will be a lot of people being negative there.

Show them by working hard on it, make a lot of progress first, then a thread.

[/quote]This is true. You should do what Drayano does and post the hack once it is completely finished. This will yield excellent results.

Okay thanks for the opinion guys, I'll wait until it's basically all complete before I make the topic. I'll keep making these weekly updates so at least it'll be heard of and won't be a completely unknown hack when I first post it :P @Thanatos Telos I see where you're coming from but unfortunately the only way to do that would be to use the 'Catch trainer's Pokemon' code which wouldn't work as it'd mean you could catch Pokemon of the people on your own side...

Wow this looks very good. I remember there was someone else who was making a similar one using the older Pokemon generation. I think it was Pokemon Rocket or something?

Thank you! Yeah, 'Toxic Purple' Provided me with a few ideas for the whole 'Being in Team Rocket concept'. Theirs another one called TRE (Pokemon 'Team rocket edition' I think :P

Yeeah Toxic Purple...I remember that...quite an interesting project, looking forward to seeing it finished.
