who would be up for a GBATemp collab hack?

like , of some sort of retro game. perhaps a ROM hack of some sorts created by the community, this could work really well for SMB1 or another platform where we make levels and submit them.

wouldn't probably contribute myself as my level design is arse, but yeah. it'd be a nice thing to have happen :)

I tried getting a collab hack going before back in sometime 2016 or 2015, here's the result: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2657/

although hardly anyone worked on it and the communication was very poor because of the forum I suggested it on was in a very bad state... it did make the board pick up activity for quite a while.

dunno why I'm posting this in my blog, lol.

I've always been interested in big community collabs. They can be mighty difficult to pull off, but super rewarding in the end. I'll be honest, it takes a lot of time to coordinate something like this, so hopefully you're up to that challenge. Never done a romhack myself, so I wouldn't be that big a help, but hey man, if you're gonna see it through to completion, best wishes!

We could always use SMBX, it can run on most computers and its building engine is huge. It also supports LUA. Theres also SRB2 but that just had a community project released in July and most people will have to learn how to use ZoneBuilder

What about a smash hack?
I would love to contribute,
I have a dead discord server we could discuss on
I would love a smash, or Nsmb hack

@DeoNaught I don't use discord, would be easier to make a thread for it as it would be more organised in a forum thread or this blog entry for basic discussion.
