I'm thinking they'll reveal Gen 1 games coming to the Game Boy Online app, maybe the Gen 2 games as well, along with the Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 release dates to the N64 Online app, and the reveal that not only can the games Game Boy games link, but that the Pokemon Stadium games will be able to pull your Pokemon from the Game Boy app into it like the old transfer pack with a physical copy of the games would work. I imagine gen 3 will come at some point to the GBA Online app, but I don't think they'll get announced at the same time as the first 2 gens, they'll come later.

Some sort of Scarlet and Violet DLC will be revealed too I'm sure.

Beyond that, I heard the reveal of a new Mystery Dungeon pretty much leaked, so I'm sure that'll be there. But that's as far as my certainty goes.

Would love to see some new spinoff sequels like a new Pokemon Conquest, or something brand new, like it'd be really cool to see a Pokemon/Warriors crossover, a Pokemon Warriors game seems like a no-brainer when you think about it.

I don't need this direct, seriously. I'm already playing the old Pokemon games I like on the AWESOME official GB and GBA emulators (thanks to cave PC application for making that easy).

Sure Nintendo, take your sweet-ass time, its not like you have a main game in desperate need of patching and support...
I mean, a Pokemon Direct on Pokemon Day (the 27th of February) has become the convention here, it'd be weird if anyone was expecting this Direct any sooner really. And they just detailed what's coming in the new Scarlet and Violet patch the other day, so that should be dropping imminently.

I'm definitely sure that they are likely to reveal Scarlet and Violet DLC and based on predecessor, Sword and Shield, it could be 2 expansion packs, new fighters in Unite and port of Pokemon GC/GBA games to emulator.

Nothing is exciting, my guess.

If Nintendo just implemented RTC into GBA NSO it would be perfect. Hopefully they do that when Pokémon comes out for real on GBA NSO.

They are at that time of the year when they announce the new pokemon games that will be released this year.
As said above, i expect mostly spin off announced and dlc for s/v
Gen X will probably be for next year with the Super Switch

I sincerely hope there is more than that

Definitely gonna reveal SV DLC that they likely started working on before the buggy mess even launched
If Gen 2 legendaries are in I might even consider it.

Why not they just mine Monero instead of scamming vulnerable people? If they have a decent machine they can hit a jackpot at any given time.

Bitcoin on the other hand, requires a very powerful mining rig and is more costly.

@SylverReZ, different cultures so probably they have their reasons

    Yes a $2,000 rig for $5 a day

@Xdqwerty, Or could be in correlation to laws.

Technically, cryptocurrencies aren't illegal, as long as you don't use it for criminal activity. If you sign up with an exchange, and that they get a tip from law enforcement, they have the right to freeze your assets.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, Yea I heard law is vastly different there
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Nigeria's central bank did make crypto illegal before, until last year they lifted the ban. Always make sure to check before you exchange. ;)

@SylverReZ, speaking of crypto i remember reading about a guy who spend like 10 grand bitcoin on a couple pizzas (when bitcoin wasnt as worthy as nowadays)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's mental. If he had saved up when Bitcoin sky-rocketed in price, then he might've become the next Jeff Bezos for all I know.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, he couldnt know the price was gonna skyrocket anyway
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Then it dropped sometime in 2022, 2021 was when it really went up in price.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, I also recall watching a video of some failed games with their own crypto currency or smth like that, lemme link it to you (it's in spanish tho)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, I remember that. Didn't Steam ban games with NFTs before somehow devs managed to circumvent it? Think EA tried to dabble in NFTs too.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Glad to hear people realise that NFTs aren't worth it these days. They realise that they're JPEGs hosted on a file-hosting site like AWS or Google Drive.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Atleast it has captions
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Meta also tried to create their own crypto, but that fell through.

Was called Libra, they had around 100 employees and wanted to hire more near to end of the year.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, idk why facebook tried to do that metaverse thing if mmo games already existed before
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
And Yea I refuse to call it meta
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, I refuse to call it Meta, too. It's a stupid name.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, then why did you call it like that a minute ago?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
I don't get why Facebook ever wanted to dabble into virtual reality, when other companies were doing it.
