I know p1ngpong banned gif posts and all but...
Saying that poor hardware is poor is defamation? Since when? That is called defamation and is not protected under free speech when used against a business.
this was in USN earlierBut it doesn't apply to the the EoF, It does apply outside of it though.

And the fact that the hardware alone is stronger than the XBox 360'ties doesn't mean that it reaches anything even near the peak of its performance in actual benchmarks - you don't know its factual performance, maybe the SDK's crap and cuts down on a lot of resources? Maybe the System Menu takes away a lot of processing power? There's a lot of variables in play here.
I get that you represent your company both in the workplace and elsewhere, but I think this sort of reporting is going to get out of hand.
I'm sure Activision has a wonderful janitorial staff, but I can't say I'm terribly interested in hearing their thoughts on the PS4's hardware.
The games run on the OS, so the OS is always running, but it doesn't take up a whole core or anything.Saying that poor hardware is poor is defamation? Since when?

Honestly, it's okay to voice your opinion. There's nothing wrong with that. But when you work at a high profile games company, and you go off on twitter like a 12 year old pokemon fanboy bashing one of the biggest gaming companies ever, there's something wrong with you.
I mean hell, look what Gabe Newell did with the PS3. He completely tore that thing apart, just ripped on it to shreds. Then when the time came, he was basically forced to apologize because he was proven wrong and ultimately looked kind of dumb doing it in the first place, and I suspect the same thing will happen with EA and Nintendo.
But the biggest shocker here is, when the fuck are people who work in the game industry, going to learn to lock the damn tweets from public view? This won't sit well at all. Hell I was reading some comments from people who said they don't even have a WiiU, and even they said this guy was a bit of a dick. Iono, this guy seemed Orth to be honest, he kinda went overboard. Hell the funny thing is later he deleted his tweets. And now the guy originally linked a question to the verge (which this guy replied to) is getting all the hate and flak. Bit of a shame.
That's just it, yes, compared to the PS4 and next Xbox, it's the weakest of the three, but that in no way makes it a terrible system. Why didn't people say the same thing about the PS2 back in the 2000s? It was the weakest, but what made it sell? The games. If the Wii U gets more third party support (and I've no doubt it will), then people will change their minds and shut their f***ing mouths and see that the Wii U can strive. The games run on the OS, so the OS is always running, but it doesn't take up a whole core or anything.
The Wii U's downsides are a rehashed CPU architecture with poor floating point (less than 15 GFLOPS) and low memory bandwidth. There's been no evidence of the GPU being weaker. It's "on par" at worst.
We deduced the main weakness back in September, you were in on that discussion.
I think you missed the part where this thread is no longer in the USN but in EoF and we're not being 100% serious - Wii U's flaws are pretty well-known.The games run on the OS, so the OS is always running, but it doesn't take up a whole core or anything.

Well the hardware isn't the problem, really. It's all about what Nintendo will do with it, and that seems to be very little at the moment. Nintendo gets hate even when they have momentum; it's just very unprofessional when it comes from within the industry.Having flaws != instant failure
I'd love to hear one console that's been released that never had any OS or hardware flaws during its lifespan.

There's a difference between being possible, and being plausible. If you have three machines and one of them is annoying and takes months to get used to while the other two are not, you're going to want a relatively-larger return on the annoying machine in order to put up with it's shit. The PS3 had flaws, so many developers hated and criticized developing because of the cell, but they got used to it. There's no reason why they can't do the same with the WiiU.
This is a lesson to those who post boisterous opinions on the internet, somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you. Beware.
