Shin megami tensei IV. Really enjoyed it, but if you haven't played any other SMT game you can try SMT devil survivor overclocked. You can also check Etrian odyssey untold: Millennium girl but that game is fun when it's challenging, I'd say a good choice for vacation.

As much as I adore SMT IV...the obvious answer here is Bravely Default. It does Final Fantasy better than Final Fantasy does Final Fantasy.

i played it for a while ( till the bricking wave ) and its sooooo awesome but bricking my 3ds for it goes a little bit to far ( because i played it on 3.2 and the save file from 3.2 is strange enough not compatible with the 2.0 FW)

Paper Mario Sticker Star. It's a neat game. Sometimes the sticker system feels forced but it's nice!
Cave Story 3D
Zelda oot 3D and a link btw world
Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros is really neat too! ;3
Super Pokémon Rumble ;O;

Yup, it's a bit booring but there is an option which makes it easier, like auto draws paths and walls. It's my first etrian odyssey game and i'm waiting for summer to finish it. No time to play a serious game

Also as others suggested bravely default must be your first choice if you want to use b1 or b2 launcher.

Sticker system feels way to forced if you ask me. But yeah it's pretty much fun but not as much as other good rpgs/jrpgs.

I found that the mapping in EO can be quite addictive and gives you all the more reason to explore, despite the dungeons being hard.
It can feel a bit like work, but it pays off when you get to watch a full map. well, I find it satisfying anyway.

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.

My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol
