Hey guys, as many of you have requested, I have made a tutorial covering a custom firmware, cia installer, and emunand for your New 3DS on firmware 9.2! I've put alot of work into this tutorial to make it straight forward and easy. It is alot of information to combine into a single tutorial but here it is. Hope it helps you guys!

it's basically a safety precaution so you don't install ay cia to sysnand on accident. Yes, you will still have your nnid and online access on your 10.3 emunand after unlinking.

I Think you can do the other way, format emunand and keep sysnand with tiny format.

I got it all set up, but have one major problem:
The 10.3 emunand is nearly "empty" apart from FBI and HBL. When I restore my old "Nintendo 3DS" folder, I have all my games and savegames back. But then I am losing access to FBI and can't install CIAs anymore. Any ideas how to get both?

EDIT: Solved the problem myself. For the ones interested: I went with my old data to keep my games and savegames. Then I injected FBI into the Health&Safety app using this tutorial

I followed the video exactly, up until the part about installing fbi.cia, where I get the above error. I haven't attempted to continue past that point.
Although currently reinand isn't booting, just black screens.

If it helps the diagnosis any, I don't get the red flash of the bottom screen either.

Okey, yeah I had the same issue. I had to use pasta or minipasta to launch to sysnand. Then afterwards I made an emunand.
I had another issue where I had format my emunand and couldn't install FBI. So I injected it with rxTools to H&S app, installed FBI via CFW (rxTools CFW) and afterwards uninstall FBI from the H&S app through rxTools.

Do you use menuhax or browserhax?

Nope, not yet. I originally had an emunand set up from gw launcher, but I have since started over with a clean micro sd card. No other partitions other than the main fat32 one.

Alright, download Minipasta or PastaCFW from their respective sites (I don't have links to them). Then boot directly with Menuhax to HBL and start any of them. I think minipasta is best for N3DS. Then it will reboot to sysnand and from there you can install FBI and start doing your emunand.

Oh I forgot to add! If you got autoboot to HBL or something, you need to hold your buttons to boot to sysnand.

Not to worry, I'm currently set up the other way round (Hold L to boot hbl). That Will of course change once I'm set up.

Update-- that seems to have done the trick! Now if only I didn't need to press start every time...

I get this exact problem every time I set up emunand with emunand9, except the same problem occurs with any kernel apps, like rxtools.. In my partition manager, I have an unformatted space the size of my nand (943mb) at the front and the EMUNAND9 partition taking up the rest of the space. Until I set up emunand formatting all the kernel stuff works. WTF?

Hi, first of all, thank you for the tutorial.

I do have a couple of questions

I already have RxTools + emunand 9.5 + fbi, can I just use ReiNand with the same emunand?

Also, when RxTools 3.0 launches will I be able to still use the same emunand 10.3 that I upgraded using ReiNand without problems?
