Hi,

I need some help installing homebrew on a new 3ds xl I got today. It is currently on 10.3 but it does not have a real browser installed, so I can't use browserhax. What other options do I have? I have a gateway card but no other game.
How can I install homebrew / downgrade?

Thanks!

It tells me 'to use the internet browser, update your system'. I guess that means this passage from the guide I am using applies?
"Note that systems where the system was updated with a >=v9.9 gamecard sysupdate have a dummy browser installed, unless an online sysupdate was done afterwards."
Or is there a way to bypass this message?

if it looks like this, it's a dummy browser and you can't use it.

if it looks like this, it's a real browser that's been blocked and you can bypass it.

It looks like this:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9h76FPFeQDoSEpXNkprTGRuLWs/view?usp=sharing
It also has a little start screen:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9h76FPFeQDoWWxham9LZlVXRVU/view?usp=sharing

Does that mean it's a real browser? If so, how can I bypass it?

I think it should work up to 10.5, bit I might be mistaken. But there's no harm in trying, so you can just test it.
Sorry, I meant 10.5, the two versions mix me up. But anyways, I tried changing the date back, and it did not work. Anything else I could try?

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
