@Reisyukaku, is the patches system you are implementing for the loader only? Or could it be used for patches of AGB/TWL FIRM as well. Great job with the 4.0 release.
those are different firm partitions so probably not. i think i have an idea though.@Reisyukaku, is the patches system you are implementing for the loader only? Or could it be used for patches of AGB/TWL FIRM as well. Great job with the 4.0 release.
Yea, I was thinking even justWe need them to change your thread title to:
[Source Release] ReiNand N3DS & O3DS CFW
Yh maybe some new O3DS users see N3DS and don't even visitYea, I was thinking even just
[Source Release] ReiNand CFW
The only problem i see with AGB stuff on emu is that you'd need to redirect the writes to SD nand image.. and tbh, i've never evern looked at the AGB firm yet lol. AGB were always out of my scope because, well, i have a GBA SP and i dont play DS games, lol. For sure though, i'll make patches easier to manage so you can patch everything under the sun if you want and still not have a slew of messy code behind it.@Reisyukaku, thanks for your quick reply.
I have tried different mods of ReiNand (AuReiNand, Mizuki, and now ShadowFW (SaltFW)) and none of them embrace emuNAND like ReiNand. The big goal for me is enjoy GBA on emuNAND without needing to install patched AGB_FIRM to sysNAND and emuNAND and not needing to sift through config menu's or button combos to do extra tasks. ReiNand with AGB_FIRM patching would be a godsend for emuNAND users like me. No disrespect to any other CFW projects, they have their dedicated user base who request great features be added and who value the features they have implemented, but for me simple loading of emuNAND and playing 3DS/GBA is what I value. Before I anger @Aurora Wright, I understand AuReiNand can provide this value, however it is the simplicity that I crave and the extra features of AuReiNand (which can be configured I understand) mostly do not interest me (and I emphasize me). The only menu I want to see on my 3DS is the home menu after I press power. I feel eventually a lot of users of other CFW will eventually see that simplicity is bliss and realize just how great ReiNand is. Also A9LH forks that include: screen init, no screen init, screen init with backlight = 0, it doesn't matter to ReiNand cause there are no config menus. Simple, minimal (drops mic)
I like to try it all! Mess around with apps like GodMode, Decrypt9 and stuff like that. I like to fiddle with different cfws and I'm constantly keep all the tools and cfws up to date. All the time. Some sort of OCD. Playing games does not come first. Messing with the system does. My daily driver is AuReiNand because I like stuff that can be changed.

do you have screen init a9lh? should show up fine
Yeah, I didn't realize it had been updated to support O3DS until someone pointed it out. Great job on it, by the way.Yea, I was thinking even just

Yeah, get the .3dsx file you got from ReiNAND and rename it to "boot.3dsx". Place that file on the root of your SD card. Now each time you turn on your 3DS, menuhax will boot into ReiNAND automatically.I brought my self a New 3DS last month and since then I'm rocking ReiNAND through menuhax and ctrbootmanager. (@Reisyukaku thanks for the great CFW and all the support you give us!) Is there any way to make menuhax boot right into ReiNAND, skipping ctrbootmanager altogether?

where did i mistype? i see no zeros.. lol. it compiles for me.. unless im misunderstanding the question.@Reisyukaku
Is it possible that when you compile for O3DS [make cons=03ds] you get an error cause you mistyped somewhere at 1 plce "firmware_o3ds.bin" with "firmware_03ds.bin"?
When i rename firmware_o3ds.bin to firmware_03ds.bin in the data folder, you get the same error but then about firmware_o3ds.bin
so you have to copy firmware_o3ds.bin to firmware_03ds.bin so you have both in the data folder, then it build fine for O3DS
(Just to inform you, that's all )
