Only GBA and DSIWare require sysNAND installations. SNES, GBC and others are software emulation and do not require to restart to sysNAND.
yes. i can't play gba games. what can i do? how can i download them to sysnand and what else can i do for it? maybe an extra patch to sysnand or something like that?

What Features does 4.0 bring ?
Here you go.
  • Updated loader to read external patches from patches.dat (beta feature)
  • Restructured codebase a lot
  • Rewrote fs.c to be more like stdio
  • O3DS and N3DS in same codebase with compiler options
  • New splash screen
  • Tons of small fixes for stability etc

Yay, new release! Im always happy to update even when I don't understand the changes.

What do the new change log changes mean?

For instance:
What is fs.c? Stdio?
What is the planning for patches.dat?
What did restructuring code do and mean?

From my understanding this is nothing we commoners would understand..
fs.c seems to be directed to a C class he has in his code, stdio maybe means standard I/O?
( C as the programming language)
I guess it is nothing that we as commoners would understand. I guess it makes the CFW better for us though...
I am also interested in the patches thing though...=D
Restructuring code does mean exactly what it says.. he restructured the source code.
Maybe to have a better overview, maybe because he cleaned up a bit and threw away obsolete methods/classses.
Again, nothing what we as 'mere users' need to think about.

I just copied the new 4.0 files over the old installation on my SD (so convenient with ftp-gmx)!

but the mentioned "new splash" is just a black screen, right? I still get no splash. not that I would complain, just wanna know if that is right. best wishes!

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
