During an interview on the Japanese magazine Famitsu, the producer Yosuke Saito and director Chikara Saito of Square Enix confirmed that Dragon Quest X is in development for Nintendo NX.
The game in question, unlike previous games in the main series, is a MMORPG (Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and originally released for Nintendo Wii in 2012, then later for Nintendo Wii U, PC, Android (all these versions in 2013) and Nintendo 3DS (in 2014). Last year, at the event stream where Dragon Quest XI for Nintendo 3DS was shown for the first time, the last two episodes (Dragon Quest X and XI) were announced for Nintendo NX, then the news was fast "disproved" by Square Enix probably because it was to early to talk about NX plans... a sign that the time is now ripe, and you can begin to talk openly about Nintendo NX also because the official presentation of this platform should be now close.
