Create a folder for the wuphax.elf in the SD:\wiiu\apps folder. In otherwords:

SD:\wiiu\apps\wuphax\wuphax.elf

The boot.elf from the Hackmii download goes in the root of the SD card.

So, we only need the boot.elf file in the SD? all the other files and foldes inside "hackmii_installer_v1.2" (after we extract the zip) are not needed for the process?

That's what this page is for weather or not your new or expert you still ask questions. That's what's wrong with the word and people like you just expect people to read a book or web page and instantly expect someone to understand without help
No. But read different pages and start to understand what you're reading. However, this page isn't for asking general questions. Questions can go onto the vWii Hacking or Wii U Hacking guide.

So I am BACK with a MASSIVE update which basically has nothing to do anymore with the original wuphax!
With v1.1 all you need to do is grab the current v1.1 release and follow the short updated instructions in the first post, no need anymore for iosuhax, wupclient or anything like that with the help of a custom iosu exploit and a ton of new code, merging 6 small projects into this one big one!
Please let me know if it all works fine, this was quite a lot of work.
Hell yeah

WUPHAX is great!

Can we use it with a USB loader too (e.g. WiiFlow)?
If yes, then can we use the same hdd that we use for WiiU games or not (I remember original Wii wants a FAT32 formatted drive)?

Of course you can use a USB loader. Using wuphax to install the homebrew channel doesn't change what you can do with a modded vWii. Unfortunately, for now, you cannot use the same HDD for the Wii U and vWii. For USB loaders on the vWii the HDD has to be formatted in either NTFS, FAT32, or WBFS. FAT32 is what I recommend as you can launch both Wii and GC games from a FAT32 formatted drive. The only downside with FAT32 is that it doesn't allow for files over 4 GB. However for Wii/GC games that doesn't matter. The few Wii games that are over 4 GB are simply spit into two files and are handled by the loader just fine.

Dude, this is all about it. Install the HBC in the vWii menu. Or, are you referring to install the HBLoader of WiiU in WiiU menu?
The wiiU menu I all ready have everything set up for loadline as well as permanent homebrew channel on viiwii without internet I have both ways but wanted to know if I could have it on the wiiU side the actual channel

You want to turn on your Wii U and open a channel to boot directly into the Vwii's Homebrew channel? Don't think that would work

Maybe you should click on the hyperlink below, read the OP, and post there if you have any questions. This thread has nothing to do with what you're asking. Different threads are created in different sections so that somebody looking for answers can go to the appropriate section and get relevant help.
