I've tried both the .cia and the regular app through homebrew and I can't install any of the themes it just stays as the normal white background. Any help?

Yes it does. When I start if I do it from .cia it says it's not there then I press b and it loads, if I go through homebrew it says also it's not there and I press be and it loads. The only difference is that the it asks me to put the files in a different folder. I currently have them stored in 3ds/CHMM2/Themes I believe.

Are you using the latest version? In older versions the theme folder was on root so try that.

How do you have your themes in the Themes folder? Like this?

Inside a theme folder:

I'm having a problem when I use shuffle themes. I'm using 3 skins and if use them without shuffle they do work but when I use shuffle and close the 3ds and reopen it(to change theme?) the screen is all black and I need to restart it with the power button. Dont know if its the themes that are actually the issue or what not.

I already discovered the problem, if you are opening the CHMM2 by Homebrew Launcher via SoundHax, otherapp.bin is generating that error. In short, the soundhax does not support CHMM2

This also happens if you have CHMM2 installed as CIA, along with soundhax, as that file generates errors.

My solution was
Update oothax
Move the otherapp.bin file to a safe place inside the sd card, in case it is necessary to move it to the root again
Using the Homebrew Launcher via Oothax
