We don't want to install Android on it
Though an android translator would be great

but if you dual boot with Android and Nintendo OS imagine the possibilities.....

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering splendid
Tell me, Alkéryn, now when did
You last let your heart decide!

Well i already have my phone for the Android experience, i wouldn't use the switch for Android apps
What i would enjoy is a psp emulator ^^

Personally,I would love some save back up custom apps like the 3DS has.God knows the Switch needs it seeming as the save data of physical games are saved to the system and not the SD cart.

This will be especially important if Pokemon main titles are released on the console...

Emulators. If one thing can make the switch a perfect gaming machine, that one thing is emulators.
And they call me a cynical bastard for writing off things before they had a chance to shine on their own. I mean I agree and the switch will probably only be something worth having by virtue of it being a great 16 bit era and prior emulation machine* with a few games of its own.

*actually I might hold back on the optimism as there are far more open and amenable platforms. Unless of course a decent port of Android is made before it is overtaken by phones and tablets.

I'd like to see the Switch scene resemble the 3DShacks scene. Still, I expect it will be a long wait before we see the first bit of news on this.
Not much interesting homebrew, infighting, fanboys of something so banal as custom firmwares and general tedium... even if the mostly software based nature of things saved it for you there are surely still better examples, like the PSP.

As much as I love the idea of retro gaming on Switch with a better screen than the 3DS one, I'm still bothered by the lack of D-pad (in handheld mode without a Switch pro controller, I mean). It makes me wonder if a redesign of Switch will correct this (and the other 345 issues).

Just get the Pro controller. Jesus christ.

This might be a strange suggestion but I kind of want an e-reader homebrew app that can read all my unDRMed Kindle books. I think the size and layout of the device, even being widescreen, would make it a good e-reader.

I want loadiine to be on switch so it's able to play wii u games which is another thing Nintendo would have done with the switch. I would also like USB loaders for wii games just like on the wii.

I have to ask. What exactly about the dpad bothers people? I think it works well. Guess I'll have to wait and see if it'll be a problem with vc and the like?
I like it. It's what I thought the ps4s was going to be like and I'm glad the switch has it. I LOVE the Vitas dpad. Easily the best dpad out here

Phantasy star + Portable and playable anywhere i want. With New Nintendont
THIS! I'd even be happy with a proper port of PSO1, even pay for a hunter's license again to play online. I miss the days of old when I could round everyone up to fight our way thru Ragol.
