Empty the sd:/install folder (including moving any sd:/install/gamexyz folders out of that directory), and put the update's files directly in the install folder. In other words, you'll have sd:/install/title.tmd along with the rest of the title.*, *.app, *.h3 files.

Use Disc2App to rip your disc to SD, then use WUP Installer y mod or WUP Installer GX2 to install. If that seems easier, go for it.
Thanks for replying. I remember reading about having to change some hexa-stuff in files to install games downloaded on the net, is it the same for using a real disc?

No, the ticket is already good.

You might be reading old information or using old downloads if you're being told to swap bytes in the ticket - we only did that for a couple weeks until discu was updated. Any tickets you get from disc or find on that title key site are ready to use.

Thank you.
Another question;
if I install a DLC with a signature patch, do I have to run the signature patch each time I want to play?
or it is necessary only during instalation?

This one is one of the best guides in here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-noob-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.466006/
It's up to date and if you follow each step you won't have any problem.

Can I play JP-region games on a US WiiU using Mocha CFW?
You can. I use CBHC instead. Both have pros and cons.

Has anyone managed to get the US Wii VC title Mario Super Sluggers to work on a PAL WIi U? My PAL Wii U is completely hacked and is capable of playing other USA Wii VC titles from USA Region but this particular one doesn't. Is there a patch or a way for me to change the game's region? thanks

Can you install repacked loadiine files to sysnand USB? First post say no, I know that, but didn't know if that was odi (out dated information)
If no, why? high brick risk, just doesn't install, has anyone tried it?

Yes, you can install properly repacked loadiine titles if you're using CBHC's sysmenu choice. The requirement is that you have signature patching, which was only available under redNAND at the time of the OP.

Hey what's up!
So, a friend of mine asked me to get his console to work like mine. I started by doing EVERYTHING I did on mine in order, from getting the fw.img ready, then changing the region to make it region free and finally installed Haxchi as a HBL . After that was done, I started installing the games.
The problem comes there. I enter the fw.img and every time I try to install a game using the Y MOD, many different errors pop up about it not being complete or something else. I tried using the WUP INSTALLER GX2 and it shows like 0% progress and doesn't move from that (it doesn't even say the size of the game). Both softwares (W.I. Y MOD and GX2) work for installing E-SHOP games, but I can't seem to install anything else.
I thought "Maybe the problem is the FW.IMG, so let's change that" and I configured Haxchi to start as a CFW and tried again, same problem
Finally I started the installation without using Haxchi or fw.img and the same error happens.
If anyone can give me some hints on what might be going on I'll be super gratefull.
Cheers!

maybe the usb device being used? have u tried installing directly to the NAND or is that what you're doing? also, the fw.img is outdated and not needed anymore. do u have haxchi's config file set to default=sysmenu . I think that's it.

Yeah, I tried that, that was my second idea of correcting. I tried unpluging and plugging the USB but it didn't work. Theother problem is space in the NAND ._.

Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
