omg i hope this comes out on 3.0.1 soon! why did i update...?
Also the fact that he's dead, right?i swear you remind me of hedgeberg but i know hedge wouldn't screw himself by making a temp account
For new games that require a new firmware, this is basically what the software does by pinging the firmware number and key-check. If those do not match, the software won't run without an update or will force one from the cart. If you mean for the cart to check the fuse status? Carts are just a few pins with data on them. They can't do anything.
The former will require dumping of the software, and then decrypting the software and stripping the security checks.
I dunno man. I think otherwise. I think with this system (since it's handheld/console) and given the fact that if you grab one now, it's guaranteed to be under 3.01, the interest will be HUGE regardless of the lack of switches out there. As previously mentioned, very few Switches out there are hackable so there probably won't be much interest in homebrew development. I don't care much for backup loading and as for emulators, well I've got a PC for that.
I'll think about it for a few days but probably wont be buying one.
Well of course it will. There's nothing found on that firmware as of yet It's not just "time". There may never even be a "next time". Who knows? It's all about the work devs put into finding these vulnerabilities, how much access it gives them to direct it to custom code, etc.they said 3.0.1 will take longer tho

Think of it dude, GCN and PS2 on the go tho!
I like your post number. It makes me happy.Huh, guess I was lucky.
I kept playing Ever Oasis on the 3ds, and spent 80 hours, 1 hour per day, playing it.
But what I'm stating is that it won't stop devs from working on emulators, furthering the exploit and create code to make it functionable to the standard everyday user, etc. Just because there's a lack, doesn't mean they're just going to be like, "meh. This isn't worth working on."The barrier IS the lack of Switches, and the lack of Switches that didn't already upgrade. How many do you think are hitting retail with this still viable and before everyone already updated because of Zelda, or Splatoon, or Sonic, or ARMS, or *insert odd indie game on the eShop*? And then of those how many do you think aren't being upgraded by unknowning grandmas and children? In a few weeks nothing under 3.0.1 will ship. As I said before, the numbers dwindle by the hour and the scene is still small. Just take this thread as a microcosm of the greater world where everyone, even people who are warned not to update, updated.
The incompetence of Nintendo to meet demand with supply has in some bizarre way resulted in a highly contained yet disastrously critical hole in their security. Weird Twilight Zone shit going on here.

Naw bruh, my older crappy PC (laptop) which was 500 bucks, that I bought at bestbuy could run that shit at full speed (98% of games). It's REALLY not as hard as people make it out to be. The Tegra X1 should be more than capable.Slow your roll there buddy. It is a tegra x1 in the switch. The Ps2 is a complicated beast to emulate, even on modern systems.
HOOOOYPJust picked up a neon one at GameStop. Came with 2.3.0

Especially with the switch, as stated, this is a very new kind of console. So even more so, there will be more interest.
Capable only if you know the instruction sets and how to utilize the drivers.Naw bruh, my older crappy PC (laptop) which was 500 bucks, that I bought at bestbuy could run that shit at full speed (98% of games). Can someone confirm the newest firmware is 3.0.1? Because it say's I can update, but is there a 3.0.2?
Oh of course. Just like the 3DS early on. We're making completely separate points, friend, haha! I agree with you.Working on it is a given, the issue I am pointing out is that standard user part. The standard user, even here on Temp despite being warned, upgraded. So, who is left to be this standard user?
They literally said multiple times "do not update to 3.0.1". If a user says it then I can understand doubt, but if a dev says it then you should believe them. They often aren't specific at first because they have multiple secret bugs they are getting to keep from getting patched. They first see what has changed and then if a bug was patched they get more specific. They weren't clear at all. Saying:"Do not update to X.X.X is bad don't do it" is obvious, everyone can say it! Look: "4.0.0 is gonna be bad guys."
